would be smart to offer a 1st rounder to the Cowboys for him if he's willing to coach this year. Can't imagine he'd be willing to go anywhere else besides a team who is ready to win in 2022.
The Cowboys with a legit head coach would be scary. McCarthy is the biggest thing thats holding them back

The #Saints will hold a press conference today to discuss Sean Payton’s time away and he’ll inform his staff in the coming minutes. End of an era in New Orleans.

I can't stand the guy but this reads like it could be health related, which I don't wish on him. Hope its nothing like that.
I already picture Payton in a Cowboys hat on the sidelines.........
he's just 100 lbs lighter. Their careers are mirror images of each other.
Except for the whole Bountygate, federal investigation into Vicodin and rampant womanizing.
Kind of irrelevant at this point not to mention the womanizing and vicodin stuff was more rumor than anything substantiated but I don't have a dog in this race at all. You can hate them both for all I care.
Plus McCarthy has his own weird shit.
RE: RE: Payton is a carbon copy of McCarthy in every sense
It's exactly out of the Parcells MO, who he coached under and was mentored by.
They are still exceptionally close so Parcells certainly can teach him how to navigate these things. I still think he may just want to recharge for a year.

If Sean Payton does just want to take a couple of years off from coaching, he'll be just about ready to return in 2024, which is the next time the Giants are due to fire a head coach.

Sean Payton was “exhausted” coaching the Saints. What makes you think he would want any involvement with this mess?
Well... I thought the picture made that point obvious. The tip-off should have been the nuke detonation. Seems less funny when you have to explain it...
I hope he takes a TV gig and loves it so much that he doesn’t return because we all know he is destined for Dallas in a year or two. Jerry will make him the highest paid coach in any sport.
I hope Kellen Moore realizes Jerry is not going to make him HC
'take some time out' and realise that with money in the bank and a well paid two day a week TV gig 5 months of the year, they don't miss the coaching grind they've been on since their 20s.

I will feel worse for my team if he's a Cowboy in 2023.
Except for the whole Bountygate, federal investigation into Vicodin and rampant womanizing.
They need to find a QB though.
I dont think he wants any part of this mess either.

McCarthy is a dipshit but they lost because Dak and their team couldn't stop making mistakes.

Yep, he'll be a shadow looming over a lot of NFL coaches next year.

Are we going to keep on the nitpicking...ok yeah bountygate was bad.

Exactly, he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would be happy behind the mic over coaching, but what do I know?

I guess, but Parcells screwed the Giants. Payton is still giving them time to hire a head coach.
Please don't let him go to Dallas
