Daboll met with Joe Schoen, John Mara, Steve Tisch and Chris Mara, Giants say. They spent the day at the team's training facility, and Daboll also met with other members of the front office and toured the facility during his second interview.
Brian Daboll was interviewed by Giants co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch, GM Joe Schoen, and senior VP of player personnel Chris Mara. That's the same group that conducted the first in-person interview on Monday with Cowboys DC Dan Quinn.
I feel like he knows he’s getting the job and the Giants just need to interview Flores to satisfy the Rooney rule. Graham doesn’t count since he’s already employed with the team, from what I understand

but I really wish Schoen interviewed Pederson for the HC job. I understand the tanking blah blah blah if it was the Giants i would have wanted him to do the same exact same thing. Also, The negatives about his offense downgrading once Reich left, who do you think Hired Reich in the 1st place ?

I agree. If Schoen was really “casting a wide net” then he would’ve reached out to Kevin O’Connell, Mike McDaniel, Byron Leftwich, etc.

Yeah i have to agree. It just seems Mara made up his mind on Schoen in December since he was the 1st name mentioned by Garafalo and Lacanfora bavk then and some asshats. And Schoen 1st choice is obviosly Daboll .
I'm not saying i am against these hires. They might work out great. I just wish there was a real search
Daboll makes the most sense by far. It’s long overdue the coaching staff and front office are in sync.
The problem is outside of Schoen, a large contingent of that front office needs to be fired. That's something we need to watch carefully next 6 months or so.

It might be time to stop pretending that Chris is attending these interviews as the Senior VP of Player Personnel.
He's an owner, and that's the capacity in which he's operating.

So according to Peppers, Schoen having carte blanche is PR

Comes in and drops a bomb, but then is like “don’t overreact”. What he said is very troubling if true. I don’t know what his batting average here is though, all I recall was him insisting Wilks was the heavy favorite to be HC in 2018.
Again, Daboll clearly strikes me as a Schoen guy. So, if he’s the hire I don’t see how anyone can think Mara pushed it. We’ll see.

Do all of you negative people realize that the Mara's own 50% of the NY Giants. If you add John and Chris Maras shares, it still totals 50%.
The Tish family owns 50% so they have as much say as the Mara family. Start complaining about them also and maybe that pressure will increase the likely hood of control going to the GM like it did with George Young in Feb of 1979.
Maybe some of this is already happening. It's been reported that Steve Tisch (against John Mara's wishes) said no to keeping Joe Judge. If that is true, maybe Schoen has been given control.

I actually think their interviews are kind of outside the box..not who (as a fan) I would have picked, but it's not like they're only interviewing 2-3 guys like in years past.

We're supposed to have opinions and offer our own critical thinking because this is a message board, not a referendum. Sometimes the news we read will make some people happy and will upset others. And on other days, some of the people that were happy on the first day will now be upset, and some of the people who were upset on the first day will now be happy. But as an additional twist, some of the people who were happy on the first day will remain happy. And some of the people who were upset on the first day will remain upset. And many of those opinions will be valid, but some will just be spoonfed in either direction, on both days. You can tell them apart by the way they back up their opinions.

That's about right for you.
The Tish family owns 50% so they have as much say as the Mara family. Start complaining about them also and maybe that pressure will increase the likely hood of control going to the GM like it did with George Young in Feb of 1979.
Maybe some of this is already happening. It's been reported that Steve Tisch (against John Mara's wishes) said no to keeping Joe Judge. If that is true, maybe Schoen has been given control.
