This was early on when referencing doing what he can to bring back a winning team to the area. Despite the hand wringing (and rightfully so given Mara's track record), I think it is Schoen's show. Mara will rubberstamp things certainly, as all owners most likely do, but sounds like things will ultimately be his call. He also mentioned how if he didn't get this job he still had a good situation in Buffalo. I don't think he would have taken this job if he thought or had the idea he was going to be a glorified puppet to the whims of the Mara family.

I kind of took this as a slip that he/they already seem pretty positive on who they're going to hire, just a matter of speaking with others to check boxes (not necessarily Rooney rule but just picking brains, etc.) and when.
I could see that view, but it seemed more pointed to me than just a general statement.
Not sure I get this in reference to my post? There's certainly many conspiracy theories that get posted here, but I'm simply taking these words at face value and forming my opinion on those words. No theories, just opinions based off what he said and how he said it.

I get it and certainly not trying to overanalyze things as I know most of what he said was prepared, canned, etc. These were just two things that stood out to me given everything going on re: Mara control and how he said them. We'll see what happens over the next several months, but I am excited about this hire.

There is a sect of posters on this site that have become obsessed with anyone expressing an opinion that differs from their own. I’m not sure when analyzing what an NFL team is doing in their hiring process became so terrifying that people are starting to lose their shit.
