But I do have issues with her availability. I hope he's maturing physically off the field, which we'll only know if he's more durable (sans freak injuries like a tear or a break).
pursued it once the season was over. Ultimately, who cares? Kobe Bryant came out with a rap album. As did Shaq and countless others. Making an album doesn’t tell us anything about your dedication to a sport.
is the timing of the recording and amount of time he spent on it during the season.
While you can't expect a player to think of nothing but football during the season, any decent album should require a fair amount of preparation. Side hobby during the season, ok. putting in major effort on a side project during season, not ok. Recording during season, definitely not ok.
off season, no big deal. But, any decent album isn't getting done starting from scratch in the scant weeks since the season ended.
Maybe he spent little time on it, and just pumped something out. That would raise red flags regarding the effort he puts into his crafts.

How’s it any different from Daniel Jones partying in Hoboken? Or players golfing on off days?
Because the kid has elite skill. Watch his highlight reel from the Dallas game. He has such potential on the field but you just can tell it's not his passion. If it were he could be great! Way too much time with little injuries on the bench with little effort to try and get back on the field. There is no way this album was started after the season which simply says he was working on it during the season when he should have been working on his job.
to playing football. Missing 7 games with various minor injuries and then releasing an album is not a great look. This is the first guy new coach needs to speak to. If football does not come first his Giant career will be very short.

Do you do work when you get home from work? On the weekends? How do you know Toney didn’t try to get back on the field? How do you know he doesn’t love football? A lot of assumptions because the guy dropped an album. What if his hobby was painting? Would he not care about football then?
The guy is a bust until he shows he isn't. He's just another guy at this point as far as I'm concerned until he proves otherwise. I'm sure he's not a Schoen guy anyway so he'll be traded or shown the door at some point.
Like I said, there's minor side hobbies and major side hobbies. Playing a round of golf is no big deal. Putting in enough effort at golf so that you can play in a competitive golf tournament is a whole different animal.
A rookie taking football seriously should spend a lot of time studying the craft, not turning it off once he punches the time clock.
An artist taking his singing career seriously should spend a lot of time honing his craft, not writing songs while taking a shower.
They spend time with kids and wife doing activities during the season. They are not watching tape when taking their kids to play catch or doing other activities spending time as a family.
What is wrong with a 20 something year old having interest in music in their free time? So this guy is a young millionaire who is not out doing what a lot of young adults could be getting into with that much money.
Until I hear something about going to clubs every night getting blasted and showing up hung over in meetings and not paying attention. There is no reason for some of your judgement.
There is some kind of life outside of football for all of them, would you be complaining about players who spend time doing ANY non football related activity during year INCLUDING being a father or husband?
If not, then why are you penalizing a single guy for having a hobby.
Are you anti music or anti rap music?
What if he liked to wood work? Would you complain that he was spending too much time making chairs and sanding? Or is that an acceptable hobby?

I’m sorry, that’s bullshit. You think players that golf don’t spend time at the driving range during the season?
Toneys supposed to do what exactly when he goes home? Watch film? I’m guessing you either don’t take your career serious since you’re posting on a Giants message board at 9am on a Thursday
a round of golf can be what, 5/6 hours? That's the better part of a full work day. Recording music can have any length of time attached to it - 30 minutes, 3 hours, an entire day, etc. It can also be done at....night, when people usually wind down and watch TV or a movie or play video games.
We all know the real reason why people have a problem with this. I wish you guys would just say it and stop pretending its just him not studying the playbook that's making you annoyed. Don't be a coward!

I honestly don't know. What's the real reason people have a problem with this?
I am a white male in my 40s. I have a family and I do not have a ton of free time. I also do not rap or play any musical instruments. I have no problem with this.
I do remember how much time I wasted in my 20s wishing I did something more artistically constructive with my free time on my passions. I am not going to shame others who are not squandering their opportunity being young and having time/resources.

This is silly. Even if he spent 4 hours on it a night. It's not like he couldn't still work 10 hours a day on his job. Even the best players in the world do things with their free time (ranging from being dad to their kids, to playing video games, to going out partying all night). They are 20 something year old kids.
Their energy is boundless. If the only two things he cares about are music and football there is plenty of time for both.
When I was 22 years old I was working 10 hour days, going to school at night to finish my degree, and still help raising a baby (whoops).

If Toney was picking up shifts at Applebee’s I’m pretty sure a few would raise their eyebrows too.
I have a number of family members in the music and recording industry. I see how hard of work it is. If he’s taking this seriously, it’s a huge time commitment. If he makes it, he’ll have a hell of a decision to make. Because he can make a lot more money and not get knocked on his ass for a living.

The big Question going into the 2021 draft was is KT 100% committed

I have no idea what the mystery, cowardice reason people are skeptical is.
What I do know is recording an album is a labor of love and a time consuming project.
I also know Toney, based on his position coach’s words last year still has a ton to learn about being a WR. So much so they didn’t want him burning time training on specials.
So as a Giants fan I hope he spends the offseason getting better at football.

UCONN - what is the real reason you are calling out people as cowards in this thread?

By the time Kobe and Shaq were each Toney's age, they'd been to a total of 8 All-Star Games.
Honestly, I don't care what Toney does off the field, assuming he's actually able to be on it once in a while. Maybe he should be spending the offseason with a shoemaker.
Need to stop any outside activity and focus on solely your work profession and whatever your superior tells you to do.
All you should be doing is be the best employee you can and raise your level of production/output/team spirit/etc while you make sure all your time/decisions/efforts is to drive the company forward and advance their mission statement and company culture.
Otherwise sit down with your hyprocrisy and chill out.
He needs to show up at camp in great shape and show he can stay on the field.

“Bend N Break”
“Puntn’ 40s”

I would question whether the album was recorded (and mixed, produced, etc.) in the offseason just because it's being released in the offseason.
It's quite possible that KT was working on the album during the season. God knows he had enough free time.

Kome on man, you have to be kidding me. KT is the songbird of his generation. His kreativity far surpasses Dylan!
