Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen made an impression on Kansas City Chiefs fans Sunday. Following the Bills' overtime loss, Chiefs fans donated $178,000 to a children's hospital with ties to Allen. The fundraising push was supported by the Facebook account "Chiefs Kingdom Memes," which sent out a post vowing to donate $13 — in honor of the Chiefs' 13-second drive in the fourth quarter — to Allen's foundation at Oishei Children's Hospital. Over 10,000 Chiefs fans follow the group. Donations started pouring in, and Chiefs fans quickly raised over $100,000. After 24 hours, that figure reached $178,000. |
Building a friendly and enduring rivalry for the near future?
Nothing but mutual respect between the top QBs and their franchises.
Chiefs fans returning the donation favor to the Bills.
Best publicity the NFL has gotten in years!

It really does add another layer to an unbelievable game. I also think it's great that they did it in $13 increments. A show of respect with a friendly little twist of the knife. Great story, great new rivalry.
AFC East plays the AFC West next year, if KC wins it all is that your season opener? It has to be, right?
I just read that, they did it with Andy Dalton as well. I had no idea. I ain't even gonna lie, I'm envious of that fanbase lol.

gesture. Members of the Bills mafia did the same thing either last year or the year before by donating $8 to Lamar Jackson's charity. They collectively raised a lot of money.

Agree completely on that being a cool thing to define your fanbase. I picture BBI being filled with "Allen sucks" threads.
People invited us to their tailgates, to have a beer, to talk football, to talk the Giants SB wins in 2007 and 2011. This was pre-Mahomes when Alex Smith was their QB, but you could tell this was a confident fan base. A group who knew Andy was going to bring them a SB.
When it was time for the game, we were walking towards the stadium when this older couple asked if we needed help getting to the right entrance. It turns out he was mayor of some municipality in Missouri and they walked with us to the right entrance and made sure we knew where our seats were.
Then at the seats, the people were wearing "Decibel" T-Shirts that memorialized that they were present when the stadium was the loudest. When we mentioend the shirts, they laughed and said that they are in a constant fight with Seattle for loudest stadium. LOL.
Anyway, the Giants scored first and then not again as the Chiefs beat them 38-7. Not once were the fans rude to us instead graciously telling us how they love us because we played there first after 9-11, beat Tom Brady Twice and wrecked their perfect season.
When we left and walked back toward our bus and post-game tailgate, the fans were matter of fact, cordial and friendly.
So this story does not surprise me at all.
The experience in KC was the direct opposite of all the crazy stuff we had to go through in Philly when attending a Giants game there.
Don't forget Joe Burrow. The AFC has some great young QB talent.
things we see and read about in the news,I feel real sorry for the young children who will be in the mist of all of the bad stuff even if they didn't want to be in the middle of it.It's a mean world out there..And we all know it..I get down in the dumps when I see it on the tube..Innocent people getting killed for no reason..Then a few words of what I read just a few minutes ago, lifted me up,made me believe that ALL humans cannot be bad..All humans are not killers, not selling drugs, not doing bad things 24/7..Thankyou people of Kansas and the Chiefs...You made me feel good again. At least for a little while, until the next bad news hits the boob tube...
