... is in an old 1998 Play Station game Rouge Trip which was like a Twisted Metal spinoff game and one of their tunes 'Rascal King' plays in a loop during one of the stages
Even though they were a 90's band and sometimes 90's bands would draw older crowds I felt like the oldest person there the past few years.
Saw some great shows by them all the way back to the Middle East days, then Bill's Bar, then lately House of Blues.
I have also seen them at other locations including many Warped Tours, festival shows (WHFStival for one), and my favorite spot to see them the 9:30 club in DC.
They still put out new music, but since Dicky Barrett lost his scratchy voice and tried to actually sing, the new stuff has been pretty bad, lol.
One of the best things I have ever seen at a concert was at one of the hometown throwdown shows in maybe 1997 or 1998 a fight broke out in the mosh pit and Barrett stops singing, stops the band from playing, stopped Bosstone from dancing, had security bring both of the culprits on stage and said the band refused to play another second unless they hugged.
Villains, Ska Music
Bad Manners, Lipo Fatty
Madness, Nightboat to Cairo and My Girl
Slickers, Johnny Too Bad
Specials, R.U.D.E (pronounced Rudy but stands for Rude Boi)
band. Saw them quite a few times in 90s/2000s. One time in Philly, Dickey Barett was standing behind me watching one of the other bands. I turned around and said something to him but don't recall what.

Seriously? You’ve NEVER heard “The Impression that I get”?
I almost went to, they were looking for more people for the summer, but I decided not to pursue it. I already committed to a job in my field and didn’t want to back out last minute. Still would have been fun, wish we could live two lives with alternate paths to see what would happen.
RE: College friend went on tour with them as a roadie

They played an outdoor show at the college I went to. They had a roped off where the buses were next to the stage. The Cherry Poppin' Daddies were an opening act and one of their guys was out there with a golf club smoking something that was making my eyes red in front of all the campus police. It was pretty funny.
and way before the impression that I get which was pretty much when they were on their back nine. Commercially maybe their biggest song, but not one of their best.
Hope I never lose my wallet is one of my favorites and one of their best live songs. such a simple song, but musically highlights the epitome of what they were.

Most people probably have heard Pictures to prove it, Someday I suppose, Where'd You Go (was in the movie Clueless) and maybe some others.
They played at Last Chance Saloon in Burlington, Vermont right after More Noise was released. Probably one of the last small bars they played. Open bar for the band was part of the deal. Big mistake :)

that song was supposedly about former Boston Mayor James Michael Curley, one of the most corrupt politicians of his era. Think of an early version of former Providence Mayor, Buddy Cianci.
saw them in 2019 in Milwaukee, apparently their last tour.
I've seen them about 10 times, one Throwdown, and had my first date with my wife-to-be to see them at St. Joe's in Philadelphia. And we're still married! I told Dickie this story in Milwaukee, and in typical Dickie fashion, his response was "wow, those things don't usually work out!"
and that's the impression that I get.
Yep bands still have fans after their radio hit days are done.
and that's the impression that I get.
Maybe they should have knocked on wood…
Saw them a couple times in the mid-90s, they were a lively and fun college party band
and that's the impression that I get.
Lol, well played.

I've never had to knock on wood. But I know someone who has.
Such a great show.

Needless to say they had no choice.

Great band, great guys.
