I’m a suprised he is not mentioned more. If experience in a coach is what you prefer than Pederson over Flores. Pederson obviously had more success. I also think Pederson would like to stick it to the eagles and the giants hiring him would be a power move. I realize hiring someone worrying about another team is not the way to go. But a little extra something here works. Our last few coaches were all experiments. This would be a strong move getting someone with his experience.
Was having the same thought. Strange
Thinking same. Skeleton in the closets maybe lol
either way I do agree it seems there must be something off because you would think his resume would have him in more demand.
could also be that he's being selective and not looking to jump back in at the first job that comes along. very strange career so far.
Maybe. But with the Eagles and Roseman and Lurie, he might have been the sanest football adult in that room. Scary.
I thought Reich was the reason for his success as well. Reich left and the eagles fell apart. That being said Brass also wanted Wentz out and so went Pederson I think.

Not entirely fair. Reich was a huge help (and adds to the argument, it's not just a HC, it's how good of a staff can be built around the HC). But, Wentz went down the tubes quickly and again the following year due to injury. Pederson also had success following season with major injuries on roster and nearly won another playoff game with Foles against the Saints.
Really because he has won so much in Indy.
And you do know that Pederson was the play caller right?
At the highest levels of leadership, you just can't do that, intentionally lose. Anyone who has lead people through adversity understands this.
My brother in law is an Eagles fan and he is convinced that Reich was the reason they won the superbowl.

I really think it was directed from higher up.
Has interviewed for the Broncos, Vikings and Bears.
I'm a no on him. Sorry.. That BS at the end of the season in 2020 was clown shoes.
However as everyone agrees he's a total doucher.

I don't know if everyone agrees about that, what I think we can all agree is that he did not have the nerve to tell the front office to go ef themselves when they told them how they wanted to handle the game.
lol

If thats true, that's got to get out. And why destroy your own reputation to do that and then get fired? I dont know, I guess anythings possible but man what a doublecross.

he went along with it, so he is just as guilty
x2 his resume speaks volumes compared to the rest. As for the douchery comments look we aren’t hiring him to be best friends with the players. We want him to lead and coach. Coughlin was a dick at one point.

Yeah, Frank Reich sucks, he only took the Colts to the playoffs twice in his 4 seasons as HC.
LOL!

nobody says he sucks, but you said he was responsible for the Super Bowl and
1). Pederson was the play caller
2). Reich has not won anything in Indy close to a super bowl
So, I guess by your logic Parcells never won anything without Bellichick so it must have been all because of BB. And, BB actually has won titles away from Parcells, not just made the playoffs 50% of the time.

you have to simplify the game for your quarterback.

I digress. We can all agree he has a very punchable face.
In 2018 and 2019, Pederson did some incredible coaching to guide the Eagles back to the playoffs with an insane number of injuries. That work gets lost in the sauce and should be applauded.
I would have brought him in for an interview 5 minutes after Judge was dismissed. Unfortunately, it seems Jints Central is still irked by the last game in 2020, which is juvenile, and are likely holding a grudge because we potentially missed out on "winning" the worst division in NFL history that year...
It's clear one of the things the league is pushing, with these weak ass coaching lists,is younger guys.
It's never been clear to me what the hell happened that night.
Let's face it. Hurts wasn't playing great in that game vs WFT. When he was pulled, the Eagles were losing, and Hurts was 7/20 for 72 yards 0 TDs/1 INT. And a miserable 3.6 YPA. His QBR was something like 25. Just a horrible performance throwing. Granted, he did have 2 TDs rushing in the first half but was hardly a threat thereafter.

I don't care about the game in 2020. I'd be OK with Pederson, because really WTF do I know about him? I know that the Eagles kicked our asses while he was there, and he won a SB. Really the one and only thing that gives me pause, for a SB winning HC he really doesn't seem to have much interest from any other teams needing a HC. I find that very curious.

I agree. The market seems soft for Pederson and that is perplexing. If McCarthy had a market, why not Pederson?
And McCarthy, 58, won a SB with a surefire HoF QB. Pederson, 53, won a SB with a back-up QB.
So maybe there is something there we just aren't privy to...
Dude won a SB with a backup. Beat Brady. Brought a title to Philly. But at the end of it his own team was questioning what the hell he did there by losing that game.
