Not based on the playoff loss (that happens). And his defense in Buffalo this year was very good.
But given his age and his really mediocre previous run as HC, I'm not even sure why he is one of the candidates.
Daboll and Flores are in the weird situation of having to wait on Frazier being interviewed right now. I assume Daboll and Frazier are friends so he would be more understanding.
I think the Giants did a decent job of picking three good candidates: Flores, Daboll, Quinn
Anarumo, Frazier, and Graham seem like stretches to me. I would have liked to have seen other candidates there, many of whom have already been discussed on BBI.
I think they are/were on the right track with Quinn, Daboll and Flores.
I would have also interviewed Pederson and DeMeco Ryans.
I tend to agree with this. I think Schoen didn't want to be viewed as wanting someone he was familiar with, but not even considering Frazier given how well the Buffalo defense has played.
I think it was more of a perfunctory selection, but not because Frazier is a minority candidate, but because him not being considered could be viewed as him no longer being a viable candidate elsewhere.
Highly respected, has been on two SB teams (one a a player and one as a AHC.
I get some get all in on the "Young", "Modern", etc. idea but this is a guy who has been around what it takes to get the top as both a player and coach. I think he deserves a little more respect imv.
I think it’s two in person interviews
Tom Coughlin got the Giants into the playoffs in two years. We're years away from that.
2. On the other hand you look at Patriots without Brady and Saints without Brees and you see how important the roster is to the coach
3. Schoen knows him. A coach who is honest and has good people skills like Graham and likely Frazier could do very well with good coordinators.

When we hired him? 58... Tom had also had a successful first stint and then it fell apart at the end (19-29 over last 3 years in Jax). I don't think the age should play a huge roll and Frazier is definitely worthy an interview imo.

So because you think we're more than 2 years away he doesn't deserve an interview??? This is the NFL with expanded playoffs. A couple of lucky bounces and you're in. Hell if not for a couple early season miscues we would've had 7 wins and Judge would still be here. The 2nd half would've been blamed solely on injuries. I don't think the age and expected turnaround should be factors. Give me someone who can coach...period...

You do know Brian Flores is black. This is not a Rooney Rule interview.
I think it’s two in person interviews
No, one will suffice. It's two overall but only one has to be in-person and they already interviewed Frazier virtually.
Secondly, he was not a good head coach in Minnesota. Did not move the needle at all for them
Lastly, he is 62 years old. Even if he did somehow turn this thing around, is he a long term answer? Very few guys coach past their mid/late 60’s.
I feel like when you hire a coach, the Ultimate goal is a guy who is part of 15-20 year run of stability. While not common, it’s the best case scenario for a new hire So Frazier, to me, is a very low ceiling candidate.
Its very hard to sell the fix to our tremendous offensive issues without a guy that would be speaking to how hes going to change/fix the offense.
Cards arr stacked in Dabols favor. Shcoen set it up that way.
If Flores gets the nod it will likely mean Mara stepped in and made the choice. In that case keep a short list of coaching candidates close at hand for 2024.
