Expecting about 2 feet or more for Long Island. Killing me that I have to miss out on these from now on!

of Manhattan. Doesn't get better than that!
Living down here in SEPA, we are only expecting a few inches

but my Sister-in-Law and her family are squarely in the middle of the bullseye in Framingham, MASS.

She is just west of Boston and they are expecting at least two feet of snow and maybe more with 50-60 MPH Gusts.

They have a sturdy, older home, but she is worried about power outages and tree damage as they have a lot of large trees around their property.

Tomorrow is definitely a Weather Channel day!

Be safe everyone!
Thanks

Were you the Tom moving to NC and looking for a job a year or two ago? If so, how'd it turn out? I'm not sure if it was you or Tom from LI (something like that).

Snow blowers are like dishwashers. Once you get your first one, you can't understand how you got by without one.

Gassed up the snowblower and stocked up on alcohol. Love that it's on a Saturday. Ready to roll.

After hand-shoveling out of that 20"+ storm about a year ago, including sidewalks bordering my property, I could wait no longer.

That would certainly do it.

I pulled the trigger in 1990. We bought our house in 1988 and it has a about a 150 foot driveway that double wides for about the last 40 feet.

After two years of shoveling that, I was done.
Tom great to hear from you hope you are well!

JonC can't imagine hand shoveling that 20 inches last year..congrats on becoming part of the snowblower community!!...nothing better than blasting through the deep stuff!!!

Still grinding away with my Honda Track I bought at discount ~ late 2008 (dark days in the markets). Showing her age but still gets the job done, 1900' and up a steep hill--I live in the stix.

Before you go out, spray those blades with plenty of PAM or other non-stick spray, reduces the stick and hence clog of the intake bin.

JonC- a nice bottle of brandy
Dave on the UWS : 1/28/2022 3:08 pm : link
and a good cigar and you're "REALLY" ready to rock and roll that snowblower. (that was my technique- no longer necessary living in the city). Could hardly wait to get out there. Just don't throw it INTO the wind or you will be wearing it!
Lowe's by me doesn't have

Any snow blowers or salt or snow shovels. Then again it's in South Carolina.
Good stuff, dudes!

I bought mine via lowes.com and it shipped to me, since my cousin couldn't beat the deal because of the shipping cost.

I loved when it snowed. I was in an apt so didn't have to shovel. And I would just get plastered. Haha.

Tom, I've been thinking about moving to N.C., High Point-Triad area. Do you happen to know that area? If yes, can you give me any information on it, or your opinion or impressions (I know, you dont usually do impressions)?
Thanks.

Have friends who have lived in that area for years and love it. Also have friends closer to Greensboro and have nice things to say about the area as well.
I should be enjoying the day at the beach.
