On promise and arm talent alone. but then I'm asking for additional years on the back end of my contract because I am never going to be hired in the NFL again.
I am in love with what Buffalo did with Josh Allen, that kind of raw talent cannot be coached, and in the hands of the right offensive coaches I'd love to see what Willis could do.
Admittedly, it might not work out, at which point you try again.
I think there a few QBs who would have an excellent shot at winning the QB job. But the goal isn't just to find find QB better, it's to find a legit franchise QB when selecting in the top 10.
Willis as of right now since from what I gather he has the highest ceiling. We need a big arm that can drive the ball in bad weather.
I'm not sure if #5 overall is really necessary to nab him though. Could be a great get for a number of reasons if they nab him after the first round.
Unless the draft process really hurts him, Willis is almost certainly going in the first round. Schefter said from what he's heard he thinks he'll be the first QB off the board.
I soured a bit on him because of the bowl no show but if you are forcing me, I am taking him. That fake slide, gamer, I think there is some Harbaugh and Brian Sipe in there.

First thing Mara does is tell his GM he has no choice of the most important decision (or 2nd most important). I know this is hypothetical but reason I say this is because I don't want any QB at #5 nor #7. This is actually the first year in forever that I don't like any QBs in the entire draft (in 2019 I only liked Murray but obviously he was going #1).

Yeah that fake slide was crazy. And I agree I soured on him after the bowl game. That said I still think Corral looks like the best of the bunch. Like that means anything. lol
Looks like an electrifying runner and has a very strong arm. But if you watch his highlights, it looks mostly like he makes one read and then takes off or scrambles if it's not there. That's not going to get it done in the NFL. Doesn't warrant a top 10 pick in my book; maybe late Round 1 at the earliest.
Not being facetious but asking a serious question - any other examples of a QB who learned to progress through his reads in the NFL after not having done so in college? Link - ( New Window )
But with a smile...
I'd throw Carson Strong against him. It's close.

Hopefully at #7 rather than #5. Get him so OL help at #5 if there is value / a BPA there.
Pickett could likely play right away. Willis will very likely take more time and crafting.
With all of Ridder's experience at Cincinnati, I think he might be able to player sooner rather than later.

Interesting. Definitely keeping an eye on him.
