I wouldn't mind Dorsey since he already worked with Daboll so the Giants will already be in sync. However on the chance that he stays with the Bills who are other potential OC's that are available?
I would put a call into Chargers TE Coach Kevin Koger, who has gotten interviews with Green Bay and Denver. I would also look at former Bears OC Bill Lazor as their O looked much better when he was calling plays than with Nagy.
That's my choice for OC if it's not Dorsey. I think Daboll will install the offense and probably call the plays. The Giants need better QB coaching and play obviously.

A great QB can make a bad Coach look good. With that in mind I would probably say Houston’s Pep Hamilton. Coached Justin Herbert as a rookie then got hired by Houston when new coach hired by Chargers. To do what he did with Tyrod Taylor and Davis Mills says a lot
OC/WR coach at Michigan right now, succeeded Daboll at Alabama, so there would be some familiarity there even though they didn't overlap at all. He just won the Broyles Award (top assistant coach in CFB).

I concur. Pep Hamilton did a great job with Justin Herbert last year and Davis Mills this year. Also he was oc/qb coach for Andrew Luck at Stanford and Colts.
I agree 100%. I don't understand why NFL teams don't realize that more. Over and over teams hire coordinators from winning teams to be HC's but the coordinators don't get to bring their elite players with them and don't have the skill set to be a HC.
I know the Colts crashed at the end of the season but Frank Reich is one of the better HC's IMO and he wasn't even in the coaching cycle when he was hired. Tomlin and Harbaugh also two of the better coaches weren't "hot" coordinators when hired.
Doesn't always work that way. Joe Judge wasn't a hot coordinator and the job was too big for him. Unfortunately he wasn't ready. College coaches don't seem to work very often either.
So it seems there's no perfect formula. I hope the Giants found a guy with HC skills this time. But like Judge he's never been a HC at any level so we will see.
That's why I said the best QB coach in the NFL not Aaron Rodgers QB coach or Joe Burrow's. Your suggestion seems excellent.
