[Shultz] As I reported earlier in the week, Daboll wanted to be a package deal with Ken Dorsey. He’s getting his wish. Source says Dorsey is currently in negotiations with the #Giants to become their new OC. Bills Mafia heads to the Meadowlands. |
Have a plan! Execute the plan!
It would be a promotion. I don’t think they have a choice.

No. Not to be rude but this is posted a million times every year. There are two classifications in the eyes of the NFL. They are Head Coach and everyone else.

They technically can block it
Yeah, Bill's can't stop a promotion. They can only offer him the same or more in Buffalo.
Yep

How so? He’s not the Bills OC, just the QB coach. NFL made changes a couple years ago regarding blocking assistants for promotion interviews

Yes they can block it... They couldn't block us from offering him HC, but they count QB coach same at OC so they can blocked it.

They cannot block it, technically or otherwise. Rule was changed before 2020 season.
The interesting question is why Dorsey would give up being the OC for a Super Bowl contender to be the OC for one of the worst teams in the league.

Not to be rude, but your information is outdated. They cannot block this.

I see that now. I just looked it up. Thanks.
It’s hard to block, even if they offer the OC position, he doesn’t have to take it.
Coaching Josh Allen seems like a free ride to a head coaching job. Dorsey must really like Daboll.
Current pass game coordinator.
Yes you did. Looks like it could be a great call.
Yes you did. Just be careful not to throw your connect under the bus.
Mara and Tisch have shown a willingness to spend money on this franchise. The problem isn't that they've been cheap, it's that they've made bad decisions.
Get an OL please.
You sure did, thanks for the correct heads up! Now watch out - AJR will call you a liar again and say you made up your insider friend and got your info from twitter
Yup, Dorsey is a modern NFL mind and it's not going to be long before he becomes a head coach too

1. Money
2. He thinks Schoen and Daboll can build a winner here.
Yes you did….I hope you are right. It still is not a done deal for either of the coordinators but I’m feeling better each hour.
