This will be an important position coach if the Giants bring in some OL players through the draft in the early rounds. Are we expecting a coach with a prior connection to Daboll?
Do whatever it takes to get him. You can easily argue it’s a more pivotal hire than the DC or OC. Ran those dominant Pittsburgh fronts for years and turned around a similar dumpster fire unit in Denver. Helped Garrett Bolles go from a complete bust to big money second contract. Get that guy.
Not my prediction but the no brainer top candidate available.
George Warhop. He was recently the Jaguars O-Line coach and was the OL coach when Daboll was an OC with the Browns. And actually, the Jaguars O-Line wasn't even that bad this past season.
Is from White Plains and has been consistently well regarded in the League. Its too early to know what happens to all of Sean's Saint assistants.
If I recall, the Saints blocked him from a Panthers job because both teams are in the same division.
This thread has a solid list of candidates. Daboll will have many great options.
Another note on Daboll- another earlier thread said he will steal former run blocking Guard Ryan Bates from the Bills. Bates is an RFA, and not an UFA. He will remain a Bill.
RE: I thought I read that Munchak's daughter lives in Colorado
and he has to know that Rodgers is coming, so why leave now?
OL choice is going to be huge
Unfortunately that is true. The first part anyway. His daughter lives in Denver and that’s why he came here in the first place. I can’t imagine they let him go
Marrone is a great call out. Forgot about him.
Flats is a possibility as well as Wilkerson (asst)
It’s actually one of the significant decisions Schoen and Daboll face that will have a big influence on their success. I hope they really focus on it and break open the checkbook.

I've mentioned Bates a couple of times as a potential option. You are correct that he is a RFA but it will be interesting to see the tender designation. Bates was undrafted so if the Bills place an original round tender on him then the Giants could theoretically sign him and not have to surrender a draft pick.
The original round tender is $2.183 million. I assume that the Bills will place a second round tender on him which comes with a cap hit of $3.384 million or they could place a 1st round tender on him but that would come with a cap hit of $4.766 million.
Hopefully the Bills will try to save some cap space by tendering Bates at the lowest level. If they do the Giants will likely be among his top suitors as he would be a versatile asset for the Giants.

:)
By nice to get Marrone and then draft Evan Neal.
Forgot about Cable. Would also be a solid choice, but funnily enough, aside from one year with the Falcons, he has never worked on the East Coast.

Y28 - thanks for that note.

2. Tom Cable
3. Doug Marrone (Alabama)
4. George Warhop
5. Brandan Nugent (Saints)
Am I missing anyone?
I could see them going with a younger guy, perhaps someone under the radar like Broncos assistant oline Chris Kuper, who they both know from Miami.
A former NFL player and has worked with Munchak the last few years.
Miami Dolphins (2016)
Offensive quality control coach
Miami Dolphins (2017–2018)
Assistant offensive line coach
Denver Broncos (2019–present)
