What a great show. One of those I had on the list for a while, but just got to watching it. It’s one of those shows you put on at 9 pm with the intention of watching an episode or two and all of a sudden realize it’s 2 am lol.
It’s a great show, despite this last season which wasn’t great
I like it, too...it's just a lot more brutal than I thought it was going to be. We started last week and we're in the middle of season 3. I just thought it was funny that you described it the same way I did to my dad.
then when you're done with that, you have to watch
Costner when he's in his wheelhouse is just so good. I liked this past season. It was less violent and more character oriented. The Jimmy stuff was great.
from Dazed and Confused to Yellowstone (in character even more than appearance).
He looked familiar to me when I was watching the first few episodes. He’s been in a ton of movies. Dead Poets Society and Good Will Hunting to name a few.

I have a soft spot for this series. Although I think Taylor Sheridan is spreading himself thin with all these spinoffs. There is another one sent for the ranch in TX.
So, if you like season 1, you'll really like the rest. I thought season 1 was painful...the acting was terrible. Not to mention, they own 1000s of acres, but everytime they leave the ranch, there's the same bear. The tourist hanging over the ledge was one of the dumbest things I've seen in any TV show. Some annoying characters but pretty solid show overall.

This. I really liked season 4 too. We stopped watching during season three for a while when the buddy count got ludicrous.
My wife and I have been enjoying it, Costner is fantastic. They cheapen it with the unnecessary violence. I’m not opposed to violence in a show but it feels like they throw in a murder or some random violence just for the sake of it. Kind of takes me out of the show.
Beth is Sonny
Kayce is Michael
And obviously Jamie is Fredo

I said the exact same thing to my father yesterday, lol.

That is on our list. Thanks for the recommendations!

Spot on, I honestly never even thought of it that way.
I really like Mo as well (Rainwater’s right hand man). Such a great character.

1883 is good, but damn it's depressing.
I need a new show to watch with the gf. Do your partners enjoy it?

I've got a few quibbles about the amount of time invested in certain characters, but overall, awesome show.

My wife is the one who got me into watching it. Her favorite character is Beth.

They spent alot of time on Jimmy if he is really off the show. He will be back or will be a main character on a spinoff of the 6666 Ranch.

I think Lee is Sonny and Beth is Tom Hagen.
