I guess you can’t go home again.
Flowers
Alamo : 3/16/2022 12:44 pm : link
Boy could we get this guy on the cheap..But our GM is to smart...He would want Flowers to pay the Giants to get on our team..And even then, sorry Ereck, have fun working someplace else for a living..Try ESPN kid !
Kick the tires!

Or in his case, trip 'em
.
Banks : 3/16/2022 12:46 pm : link
he only seems to play well in washington
2 starting OG gone
Joe Beckwith : 3/16/2022 12:48 pm : link
and a decreasingly mobile QB.
Hmmm?
Going after better, cheaper FA OL?
They’ll likely be big OL players in the draft also.

Beating the dead horse: there’ll be a run on OL.
I doubt we grab 2, but it’d be nice to be in the 1st round yet again to get a second OL along with the D player.
Bring him in!
Mike from Ohio : 3/16/2022 12:48 pm : link
And then cut him again for good measure.
NO NO NO NO NO
Jay on the Island : 3/16/2022 12:52 pm : link
HELL NO! I wouldn't want him back for the minimum with no guaranteed money.

This made me laugh out loud, thanks.

Landon Collins today. They have released our 2015 draft class.

actually was pretty decent in Miami and Washington. But at a minimum, he made a shit ton of money from those teams.

No he wasn't. His errors are less obvious at OG but he still made the same ones.

I still laugh at the story a BBIer shared where they were delivering him food via Door Dash or something like that, and dropped the line "Keep trying to improve" or something along those lines.

Lucky they didn't get pounded to a pulp lol
The more intresting cut
Now Mike in MD : 3/16/2022 1:26 pm : link
is Ioannides
He
Toth029 : 3/16/2022 1:26 pm : link
Still isn't good. Just isn't as obvious because he isn't playing the most critical position on the line.

Don't agree. He was no All-Pro, but was certainly serviceable at guard, especially compared to what the Giants have had at that position the last few years.
He is the only lineman i've ever seen, and I been around awhile,
gtt350 : 3/16/2022 4:04 pm : link
who was still in his stance while the DE grabbed the qb

Hey, at least he was trying. There was at least one time this year when a rusher blew right by Solder and all he did was turn his head around.

The Wa oline was terrible last year.
Giant John : 3/16/2022 7:46 pm : link
I don’t want anything to do with their rejects. Especially someone who refused to play guard for the Giants.

Yep.

Flowers was partially responsible for killing 3 NYG coaches...

I keep seeing
Toth029 : 3/17/2022 8:26 am : link
"He's good", "he's serviceable"

So why did MIA and WSH cut him/trade him three times now? He was getting paid good guard money and that's why they moved on after a year in it. Neither wanted to pay a guard like him, which is not good, good guard money.

He is a bottom level kind of player and his weaknesses are hidden at LG. I'd rather Giants use Shane Lemieux than him.
regardless of how bitter
fkap : 3/17/2022 8:55 am : link
the memory of his time with NY, one has to admit he stabilized his career, albeit at a low starter level. He was plummeting fast at tackle.

He didn't exactly light it up in MIA or Washington. He struck in Washington for a little bit at LG, but he wasn't very good.
Commanders signed OG Andrew Norwell

+1

However his post Giants career turned out, people seem to forget him and Bobby Hart begging out of the last game of the season due to nagging injuries in 2017.

He got paid to play football for several years. Good for him. But he’s still a loser of a player, and a sad example of the draft failures of prior regimes
