The Jersey City underdogs continue their miracle tonight at 7:00 on CBS.
Special salutations and congrats to alumni, and also to those who once played in the various neighborhood courts across JC. Watching this magical run has stirred memories of playing hoops and Spaldeen games with old friends long gone.
Go Peacocks!

Probably as good as throwing cash in the garbage disposal but whatever just wanted to make it a little more fun to watch. I honestly don't know shit tbh hahaha
Of all things this was actually like the main reason I bet on Saint Peter's LMAO
Apparently he is a fan

once Hudson County, always Hudson County

Drinks are on Leg!
He gets a lot of love on Knicks threads, and I'm not against him. Clearly he is really fast up the court and can shoot 3s. But he couldn't lead his team to a victory over St Peters. Not that anyone could right now, LOL.
Nice to be so small that no soulless corporation cares enough to give yo money for naming rights.

Hahahaha amazing that my bet didn’t jinx a team for once !!!
That was an absolute MASTERFUL performance by Saint Peters— coach and players alike!! Omg! Such sound basketball all the way around— disciplined play, making their free throws, properly executed plays late in the game to keep the ball away from Purdue (things that teams don’t practice enough and end up screwing up in high pressure situations). Big shots hit all around. The moment was never too big for these young men. Instead they clearly embraced it and leaned into it. That was a thing of beauty to watch. Whatever happens from here this was a massive achievement by them to this point — of course I’m sure those Saint Peters kids aren’t feeling that way! You can tell it’s championship or bust for them. WOW.
wrong CAA team/year - 2011 was VCU in the final four. still most underrated conference in the country.
I never watch the NBA, boring and no defense. College basketball, especially the tournament, is unbelievably exciting. Much more emotion. St Peters is a ridiculous story, first 15th seed ever to make it the final 8. A school of 2,600 students knocked off Kentucky and Purdue. I am certain there is not 1 player on St Peters who would have ever been considered for a scholarship at Kent/Purdue.
As an aside, Holloway must be one hell of a coach.
Big 10 stuck in Izzo 2000-ball.

good stuff - Holloway also is masterful at using his bench, his substitutions and rotation are very effective.

I know a lot of NBA diehards look down on college hoops, but I’m sorry - I just love March Madness so much. The drama is just off the charts.

I'm with you both. It's all College hoops for me
Calipari = $8M
Someone wrote that every assistant at Kentucky has a higher salary than Holloway...my guess is not for much longer.
He turned down 2 Coach K visits to stick with Seton Hall way back when. He also met his wife there. ”Dream job” is subjective but this is his dream job.
SHU & Holloway have had a deal in place since before the tournament but they keep coaching contracts very quiet. Whatever the number is he should ask for more, they’ll have no objections.
Pay wise & facility wise you can do WAY better than Seton Hall. But, you have basically no power 5 openings right now and Holloway wants to be the guy that builds Seton Hall into a big time program.
What’s insane is I literally know nothing about this year’s college basketball and this is my first time even doing any Sportsbook betting on college basketball— and yet I immediately have more success dollar for dollar than I think I had ALL YEAR betting on the sport I’m supposedly most knowledgeable about in the NFL.
Reminds me that joke I heard Norm MacDonald tell one time:
a guy tells his bookie “ugh man I’m down big, I’ve lost money on literally every bet I made today— all the Football games I bet on, the soccer games, the basketball games, the baseball games, even the golf tournament. Are there any more games tonight I can bet on to make my money back?”
The bookie says: “well sure you can bet on the NHL game tonight”
And the guys goes: “ah no thanks I don’t know anything about hockey.”
