Brian Daboll on @TikiAndTierney, said that he and Joe Schoen never felt like they had to battle with each other during the draft about who to pick. They were in sync. #Giants

Daboll on @TikiAndTierney said the first draft with Joe Schoen was smooth because they went over every scenario so they had the questions and answers "before the test."
Daboll said he's been impressed with Daniel Jones' leadership. He wants him to be himself and "not be afraid of consequences" so he can pull the trigger and attack. Daboll wants Jones to have ownership of the offense.
Daboll on what it means to be head coach of the New York Giants: "I don't take it lightly. I understand there are expectations." He reiterates the importance of having people he trusts in the building and letting them do their work.
Daboll said Kadarius Toney has been great. "He's picking up things really well." He's a good space player. He was a QB in high school. "You can tell he's an instinctive football player."

all offseason + 17 more games, buckle up everyone!
And the pissing and moaning about the pissing and moaning. Gonna be fun.
The main difference here is I seldom post it because the point has been made and redundancy is tiresome - ie, self-awareness.

The difference is the level of denial.
It's a thread about Jones, correct? So why not discuss it?
You post the same points on every Jones thread, with the same rebuttals, and typically avoid replying to anyone that makes a reasonable point. You really aren't interested in discussing it. You simply want to tell people they are stupid for thinking Jones might see some success under Daboll.
What do you get out of doing this every day? And I say this as someone who would have liked to move on from Jones but realizes we didn't and bitching about it solves nothing.
So, I did a tower race (power stair climb up the Museum Tower) with FMiC in Charlotte this weekend. How was your weekend?
Nice, how did you do?
Weekend was good but flew by now that its not freezing cold anymore. Busy with my daughters activities, BBQ's, and yardwork which seems like it will be a weekly occurrence until the fall (not complaining).
All these tower climbs/races benefit a charity or foundation. This one benefitted the 911 first reaponder families..
Sounds like you had a nice weekend..Yard work is excellent exercise
Being so afraid of turnovers, that you can't execute is a waste at the position.
And, he’s also shown zero ability to elevate his play or the play of those around him.
I’ll root for him as long as he’s wearing blue. I also hope the search for his replacement has already begun. If Daboll and Kafka somehow turn him into a QB worth keeping, great problem to worry about next offseason
It does suck there was no Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen type in this years draft, when we had the picks ready to make a move

That's pretty cool, haven't heard of it but i'll look it up and see if there's anything similar in my area. My knee is shot so I can't/shouldn't really do 5k's anymore so something like this could be interesting.
On the charity front this weekend is our annual beach cleanup that I'm hoping we can get to. My daughter is into just about everything outdoors so this is right up her alley. That said she started horse riding lessons which is around the same time and has been staying afterwards to learn how to take care of the horses and animals and its hard/I feel guilty pulling her away from that.
Be thankful we didn't reach for a QB that some here wanted at 5 or 7. It could have been far worse.
Definitely feels like a lot of those who would support Jones in the FO are gone. Although if Mustang Lover really is Petit, he apparently wanted Willis.
I'm pretty happy with where the Giants are today, the last week has shown that JS is in charge. When the time comes, I believe he'll get to draft his own QB
It just lends the opinion that the program and situation that is run is as important as the player.
I said this in another thread. What if we drafted Josh Allan instead of Barkley? We could be having the same conversation right now that we are having about Jones.
A Draft Pick That Changed History - ( New Window )
It is clear how much Jones has improved by comparing his Duke games to how he is performing as a Giant.
He looks completely different and has clearly improved his timing, footwork, reads, and his movement in the pocket.
I actually feel much better about Jones after watching.

that Daboll is emphasizing to Jones to play loose. It sounds like, at least in Daboll's opinion, it was beat into him to protect the football to the point it was detrimental to his play.
Let it rip. It's one of the big contrasts to DJ's play under Shurmur & Garrett.
Because letting it rip wasn't really working all that well the majority of his rookie year either.
We've seen a DJ who can let it rip and turn the ball over and a conservative DJ who doesn't turn the ball over but can't score. I don't think BD had magic quarterback dust that's going to change what DJ has been
That was his rookie year with a bad supporting cast. I'm old school - I still give QBs a few years to develop. I realize I'm in the minority, but I'm curious to see him play with reasonable conditions, including his own experience level.

minutes. FMiC did his first ever climb and really did well, though he left his lungs behind..😎

It’s very challenging, but rewarding. They say a half hour of stairclimbing is equivalent to an hour of running..
There are world wide rankings for this. I’ve done the run-ups for the Empire State building twice, I will do the 105 floor WTC/Freedom Tower next month for the second time, I’ve done the Sears/Willis tower twice, the Seattle Space Z eedle twice and the Vegas Stratosphere twice. A bunch of others throughout the country. I started in 2017..It can be brutal, especially if you haven’t trained well enough.
The nicest people I’ve ever met are Stairclimbers, of all ages from all over the world. I’m ranked 4th in the country in the over 70 group. There are a few climbers in their 90s if you can believe that. They’re awesome..
Sounds like your daughter would love this. Lots od climbers in their teens and 20s..

And it’s the same posters again and again and again and again. Broken records. Really makes making every thread that devolves a joy to read.
