I'm glad the Knicks finally learned how to stay quiet when things aren't going well - not a peep since the season ended. And the Nets were generous enough to take the slings and arrows of the basketball world for a few weeks.
NBA Draft Lottery is next Tuesday, May 17. Draft is Thursday, June 23. Offseason news will be here before ya know it.
Last year the Knicks reportedly had their eyes on some of the big wings (Murphy/Duarte/etc.) but couldn't/didn't land one. This year there are several expected to go in that 5-10 range - Sharpe, Griffin, Mathurin, Davis, Daniels - does one make it to us, or do we part with an asset to trade up a few spots? I would LOVE an aggressive move for Shaedon Sharpe, who may go as high as fifth. Otherwise I'm hoping Dyson Daniels is on the board for us - spent the year in the G-League and his offense still needs work. He'd be a good "project" pick while we continue to hopefully trim the fat off the roster. Great defender already.
Otherwise all eyes will be on Randle, Brunson and the mess in Utah.
I think he values the Randle contract for the salaries sake, to include in any potential trades. But for me, it comes down to Randle is a distressed asset. You make that trade if you think that the Randle 2 years ago was not a mirage. For me, I think he's probably somewhere between the player last year and 2 years ago, but in the end it doesn't matter. It's 2 picks for 2 players where you're trying to free up time in your rotation.
I don't think you need to care about what happens to Russ. He's firmly in the John Wall category at this point. Buy him out, let him sit on the bench or rot at home, who cares. Next year is another developmental year at this rate.
speaking of Wall, I know we have some interesting young guards, but I'm not going to be suprised if he's the latest in our long history of washed up star point guards.

Jeremy Cohen thinks that the Knicks shouldn't do that proposed trade where they dump Julius.

i wouldnt be shocked at all
Lottery pick this year, Rokas likely next year plus two more first rounders - just keep taking swings at it.
post-injury - ( New Window )
Morey said they're bringing Rivers back.
Can’t win when GRANT WILLIAMS and PAYTON PRITCHARD have outscored everyone on the Bucks outside of Giannis and Jrue by 10 points.
Giannis played his ass off but his load was just too high having to make up for Middleton’s 20 ppg. He still played much better in this series than Durant did. Even though he lost this series, he’s cemented himself as the best player in the league imo (unless Luka does some crazy shit, fucks around, and wins a ring).
Miami vs. Boston should be fun. I think it will be a knife fight and I can’t go against Miami and Jimmy Buckets in a knife fight.
Randle for Giannis straight up. LFG

They got decisions to make this offseason, Middleton up for an extension, Portis has an opt out on a team friendly deal, 142 million committed to 6 players, not a lot of picks..
Randle for Giannis straight up. LFG
nah i need some draft picks
If you ever hated Grayson Allen, then today was the day for you.
Celtics will be favored and probably a little more talented. But I just respect the Heat so much and think the Celtics’ style plays into the Heat’s hands. Lowry is important, his health is a key factor for the series.
Heat in 7, Heat can match the Celtics goon game and i think Heat are a little deeper..
Heat also have the individual defenders to make Tatum and Brown work
Rooting for Mavs tonight.
Rooting for Mavs tonight.
I think Oladipo is the x factor, if he can give them 15 points a game it would be huge off the bench
I don’t think it’s even a question. This is the best they’re ever going to be. CP3 is too old to count on going forward. They have maybe one more year as a title contender after this one imo.
They’re off to a bad start tonight though. Still think they pull this out but Mavs and Luka won’t roll over.
Wonder if that has ever happened before.
The trade return for KP looks pretty good right now for Dallas.
I feel like you just get a consistent guy next to him and he will win a ship, He controls the ball so much i dont think he needs another star
