If you've been following along this is Chris Mara's area of most experience. It has not been an area of success in the past decade for the Giants. I'm not blaming Chris Mara just pointing it out. We have no way to know who made what calls.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants today announced four additions to their player personnel department.
The newest members of general manager Joe Schoen's staff, who officially join the organization today, are Chris Rossetti (director of pro scouting), Dennis Hickey (assistant director of player personnel), Mike Derice (national scout) and Scott Hamel (area scout – Southwest).
Rossetti spent the previous seven seasons with the Miami Dolphins, the first two (2015-16) working with Schoen.
In 2021, Rossetti was the Dolphins' assistant director of pro scouting. In that role, he evaluated players throughout the NFL as it pertained to free agency, preseason, team advances, trades, practice squads and the waiver wire. He also monitored daily personnel moves throughout the NFL and other professional leagues and was responsible for scouting future opponents.
Rossetti joined the Dolphins as a pro personnel assistant in 2015 and spent five seasons (2016-20) as a pro scout for the team.
Prior to Miami, Rossetti spent three seasons (2012-14) in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts' player personnel department. He initially began as a scouting assistant in 2012 where he was a member of the 100th Grey Cup championship team. He was then promoted to player personnel assistant the following year before serving as the director of player personnel in 2014 at the age of 24.
Rossetti is a Mississauga, Ontario native. He was a four-year letterman and two-year starter as a quarterback at the University of Guelph (Ontario), graduating in 2012 with an honors degree in history. Maybe the FO in the past flew by the seats of their pants and devalued the scouting reports? We’ve had guys with sources allude to how past drafts under DG were total shit shows.

Dave Gettleman as their Director of Pro Scouting. It would be great if Rossetti can live up to Gettleman's legacy at the post!
Yes, Milton. DG did do some good for the Giants. Free agent signings have been pretty bad since he left that position. Now, maybe we can avoid some of the disasters made by DG, the GM.
Funny that maybe the best veteran talent acquisitions in the past 4 seasons may have been Golden Tate and James Bradberry.

Does anyone else get really, really pissed off to see the videos of the Giants 2022 draft room and see Chris Mara's bright red mug front and center right next to John Mara in all the videos?
If he had to be in the videos, I'd rather see Chris Mara bound and gagged in the back of the room.
what ever happened to Lande...he's got a pro gig in the CFL.
Lande was one of the first I recall talking about positional value in the draft. At the time QB was #1, DE was #2 (ER hadn't been coined yet), OLT was #3, and CB was #4. WR was way down at the bottom with safeties and guards.

Steven Price was changed from Pro Personnel Manager to Pro Scout.
Jeremy Breit was changed from college regional scout to college national scout.
