but I know I saw that picture here earlier today?
I bet he would still be good

He would will himself to be
It's interesting to wonder
BlackLight : 5/12/2022 3:10 pm : link
if a prime LT was a free agent right now, and we knew all his baggage (that we didn't necessarily know at the time), and we had the cap space to sign him, whether Schoen would do it, or if Mara would veto it.

I dobt know that an LT in his prime with all the same extras is in the league very long for the off field stuff.

That man is arguably the best football player to ever play the game.....of course you sign him...is that even a question?
Love LT!

Do the under age girl arrests sit well with you?
There is no way…

The off field things LT was into would fly today. The internet and social media has created an entirely different perspective into the personal lives of athletes. If that’s better or worse is debatable…

Yep, little gets hidden nowadays.
He’s a bit small…

Good first step, but it takes more than that to get to the QB in the NFL. And, North Carolina? That’s a basketball school.

Art Stapleton

@art_stapleton
Lawrence Taylor in the building on the same day Kayvon Thibodeaux is expected to arrive for rookie camp.

Giants sent this photo out earlier, so not sure if LT and KT crossed paths.
Great picture ...

Respect for the past, but not stuck in it - that's what this says to me.
Hard Pass
HMunster : 5/12/2022 4:16 pm : link
Pick E.J. Junior or Hugh Green instead.
Would he pass the drug tests?
Blue21 : 5/12/2022 4:22 pm : link
He was one of the greatest ever. But off field stuff especially with social media today......yikes.
Thibs was drafted on the same day of the year as LT

I believe I read.
The only issue playing today
Matt M. : 5/12/2022 5:00 pm : link
would be social media and whatever he was into being exposed. If that was in the clear, there are no issues. He was a cross generational talent. He would be the best player in the league today.

I may be "misremembering", but wasn't it one time and with a hooker who lied about her age?
We don't even need to delve into the off-field stuff
BlackLight : 5/12/2022 9:47 pm : link
Falling asleep in team meetings would've caused enough friction that ultimately, he probably would've forced his way off the team.

For better or worse, Parcells was willing to let LT have it his own way, because he recognized his talent level. Coughlin would've seen his talent level too, but nobody can possibly think Colonel Tom would have allowed Taylor to get away with sleeping through meetings.
LT's drug of choice was cocaine and cocaine does not improve
GeofromNJ : 5/12/2022 10:09 pm : link
performance. A player high on cocaine thinks they're all-world, but in fact their performance is negatively impacted. LT's performance in his later years indicates as much.

Depends on who you believe. Apparently Burress got away with a lot that they never let slip out while he was on the team.

I’ll always love Burress for what he did for the team in 2007, but I still hate him at the same time for 2008. We would have been back to back champs.
Never heard of this guy.
Klaatu : 5/13/2022 6:26 am : link
Is he any good?
Is it still acceptable as game tactics
Bill in Del : 5/13/2022 8:56 am : link
to send hookers and coke to the opposing teams hotel rooms the night before a game?

Not sure if that story is true, but it still makes me laugh.
