with Nate Burrelson returning (surprising them all). Kay hasn't said what she is doing- seems like more than one thing might be in play right now and today's show was really emotional for the whole crew.
Hoping the new host can step it up because Kay will be missed.
One could hope
Brandt and Schrager kind of fill good niche roles (Brandt is the wacky-crazy character, Schrager the insider who provides the media edge/insight from the front offices).
I think they need to find a more solid Burleson replacement, but they've been rotating former players in there and the mix and change of opinions there has been good.
Don't blame Kay for wanting something different. Just like any job no matter how good or fun, or the pay, eventually it gets stale or change is needed.
Yeah I saw that too. That's such a big gig? Once a week on a streaming service when Thursday night games traditionally do a weak rating and that's when they were on a typical network.
I know people have mentioned Colleen Wolfe and Rachel Bonnetta, nothing against them, they don't have the "lead" power that Kay did. I'm wondering if they go outside the current on-air talent or rotate until they find a fit (like they are with the Nate spot).
What made you hate Nate?
I'm sure that isn't the reason that she's moving on, but nonetheless, taking a job that allows her to live a normal life is one helluva bonus.
I saw this also - but it seems like a huge step down? There maybe more to her departure then what is being reported?
I have been listening to Stern bitch about it for years
plants have a natural cycle of physical, mental & behavioral changes that the body goes thru in a 24-hour cycle.
Fuck with that cycle & nasty things begin to happen.
Once your circadian rhythm gets out of whack, good luck trying to reset it. It's been almost 3 years since my alarm was set at 3:30 AM, and sometimes falling asleep is impossible. Of course the next day I catch myself nodding off.
I like Kay, and hope that she hasn't done irreparable damage to her lovely body clock.
