Which Giants rookies do you think will start at some point

Ira : 5/14/2022 8:32 pm
in this upcoming season - other than Thibs and Neal?

My guess is Josh Ezeudu and Daniel Bellinger will both start at some point this season. Ezeudu has tackle feet, is strong and tough. People say he needs to learn how to use his hands better, but he's smart and willing to learn so he should be able to make progress in that area. Bellinger is strong and an effective blocker. He has the athletic ability and the hands to be a good receiving te. He wasn't used enough that way in San Diego State, but I think he'll blossom as a receiving tight end under the Giants coaching staff.

I'd love to hear more bbi opinions on this.
The Safety and Corner they drafted.....

Rookies who will earn starting roles
Jay on the Island : 5/14/2022 8:45 pm : link
Kayvon Thibodeaux
Evan Neal
Daniel Bellinger
Josh Ezeudu
Micah McFadden

Rookies who will start due to injuries/Ineffective play
Cor'Dale Flott
Dane Belton

I would add Robinson to the list as he will play a significant role but won't technically start.
If They Start

It’ll be because somebody got hurt. Either way, I expect almost everyone to play meaningful minutes including all special teams.
I watched Robinson last season

And was surprised by how much separation he allowed. Not sold on him yet.
I think McFadden might

The competition at ILB isn’t great. I think he’s better than Crowder and other than that it’s holdovers from the prior regime who haven’t played much and Beavers. Essentially, the spot next to Martinez is pretty much open.

I was not very familiar with McFadden prior to him being selected but the more I see and read about him the more excited I get. I think McFadden will be starting next to Martinez by midseason. It wouldn't surprise me if he beats out Crowder for the starting job.

Exactly what I was going to list. I would put Beavers in for next year as a starter. The two inside linebackers will be McFadden and Beavers for next year.
I think Crowder will soon

..the draft. There's something about Beavers that stands out.

I have a feeling that he surprises.
These three

Robinson, Ezeudu, McFadden

Not flott only because he’s the slot.

Flott the Slot. Nice ring to it
The talent left on this roster is bad

I would say the top 6 picks start by the end of the season even without injuries and this will be the case for the next draft too. Everyone drafted is a position in need of an upgrade, there were no depth draft picks at least at the top 5 rounds.

Beavers reminds me of Kawika Mitchell.
I think the way that Daboll and Wink operate
Rudy5757 : 5/16/2022 8:42 am : link
we will see full use of every player on the 53. On D with Wink I think we will see a lot of sub packages where guys may not technically start but be significant contributors. I think on D McFadden will be utilized on in blitz packages along with Beavers. neither is good in coverage. Belton should see significant time with 3 safety packages and Flott will see time at CB and slot. Injuries may force some starts for other guys.

On O, I think Daboll will incorporate a lot of different packages for Robinson, he may not start but will play a significant role. Ezudo should start at some point. Bellinger will play a significant role but may not be classified as a starter. I dont see McKethan starting at any point but he may make the team as a swing player with his size. He may be the guy that ends up on the PS though.
OP - I had a similar thread a couple weeks ago
