In case I don’t find a ticket on the sidewalk, any opinions on a worthy establishment near the Garden to watch the game? Gots to feel that
Game 7 buzz in the streets!
or played well. The turning point in the series IMO was Igor's pass to Mika on the PP.
Not sure many people know how hard it is to go tape to tape on a stretch pass, maybe CHP can enlighten us how hard it is for a goalie. That was in the class of "no one else in the league is doing stuff like this".
that said, I thought the Pens outplayed the Rangers and Igor kept them it on both ends (lol).
This may seem harsh to fans but it's actually a good thing and why I think the Rangers win, they've gotten to a game 7 without doing much and against a 3rd string NHL journeyman in net who looks like he turned into a pumpkin finally. And if he doesn't play it's a goalie who hasn't seen game action in over a month.
This stat sums up a lot of what I feel like I have been seeing - the Rangers *should* be scoring more, but just aren't.
that won't last, often these stats regress to the mean especially with small sample and it all comes to roost in a game 7.
from money puck on xG - 4 Pens before the first Ranger shows up. And that first Ranger who is scoring at or above the level when he should is Andrew Copp (and I acknowledge playoffs is a SSS, but it is for everyone)
I just don't want to see them dominate. They need to play better. Simple as that. Even if we do advance, this type of play and effort won't cut it against the Hurricanes.

was Igor's pass on the PP. I think it was the stupid retaliatory penalty Rodrigues took when the Rangers were down. It literally changed the tone of that game and possibly the series. If he does not take that penalty, I'm not convinced there is a game tonight!
A young team that fought back will get the Penguins best game of the series. Experience means a lot in hockey. The Penguins have a big edge in playoff experience and the Rangers are just getting it. If the Rangers are tight and can’t stop the Penguins from dominating face offs and dominating the slot in front of Igor, this may be their last stand.
But I think I actually PREFER to have a cold Jarry coming back from a broken foot early. I kinda get the feeling that the Pens are living on a prayer that Jarry will pick right up where left off pre-injury because Domingue has shown off his holes. The way Pittsburgh has played, crashing their d men deep into the zone all the time tells me they think they need to score 4/5 goals in games where Domingue is in net.
that Crosby was not in fact diagnosed with a concussion. He had a headache so there was concern, but he testing didn't reveal a concussion, and he never exhibited any further symptoms. Frank Seravalli - ( New Window )

Another good one, I think the pass gave Igor some confidence though and maybe gave him some swagger back, he did give up the tying goal after this but his play seemed to pick up after that pass and he looked to me more like regular Igor.
Last game. Not hige plays, but he depossessed a Penguins a couple times in the O zone and was starting to really buzz around Pitt's end as the game went on.
Would love to keep him and Copp. I like the scoring of Vatrano, but just feel Motte and Copp offer more from a team perspective. Hopefully we can afford both while letting Straight me walk.

I haven't liked their game on either side of the red line, so I'm with you pj.
Here's a slightly different take on your graphic, but team wide, 5 v 5 all teams Round 1. Be warned, it ain't pretty:

@frank_seravalli
Tristan Jarry expected to start for #LetsGoPens in Game 7 tonight, barring any injury setbacks today.
@DailyFaceoff
@JoshYohe_PGH
I expect Sidney Crosby and Tristan Jarry to play tonight, barring any issues this morning.
No whining about Sid or the refs.
Just get it done.
And they won.
I think there is zero carryover for either team.
They do that again they win this fucker. Do exactly that and all is well.
@drosennhl
Brian Dumoulin and Brian Boyle are out. Boyle is week to week with a lower-body injury.
6-3 Rangers

If you get extra for your dad, buy a ticket for me too!

I meant to share this one too. And again though I take it as a positive that they are in a game 7 without playing well.
I do think the Rangers will "wake up", play a full 60 minutes and go on a little run here.
All playing

No word yet on Sindy or Rakell, but they are both taking warmups

Good. Fuck 'em all.
1st line needs to subdue the Crosby line. I'm not sure what to expect.
Rangers 4
Pens 1
Very cool
BWW???
What?
