no on trading Panarin. People are going to overreact to one series as usual, although five5 has been consistent in hammering him this year, very odd how much he hates a guy like Panarin. Rangers can still win this game but if they dont there's no reason to overreact to anything that happened. We knew some of the issues well before this series. This team arrived earlier than we expected but still a year or two away from truly being cup contenders.

How is it overreacting if the guy is taking his eyes off the puck because the game is faster and then the puck routi ely runs off his stick. THAT as well as his salary warrant a discussion. I love watching him when he is playing his game in the regar season, but that entire second line looks like dogshit except for Copp.
I would trade Vatrano, Copp and Motte for Panarin and Strome right now in terms of who to keep.
RE: RE: RE: I'd get rid of Trouba before I get rid of Panarin
Trouba has actially been visible this series and offers more dimension than Panarin who has NEVER done anything in big spots.
You're right. Trouba has been more visible....in an adverse way.
What????
Im honestly stunned....I have no idea what you have been watching.
I HAVE noticed that you have been in full love with Panarin all year and hating on Trouba even tho he has been stalwart d player for the Rangers. C worthy.
and is here. Trouba has been up and down in this series, where his partner has been really bad. And Fox hasnt been good, either. Neither has Panarin
Pittsburgh is playing with much more urgency, like its a Game 7. The Rangers have handled the puck like its a grenade
I agree with everything you have said except for your take on Miller.....he too had been up and down, but he is a 2nd year D.I think Fox has gotten too much credit this series because if points. As a defenseman he has been far less responsible with the puck. His 70 foot passes are infuriating.
I dont think I am concerned with this Anak person's view of Trouba when he says that he has been worse than Trouba. Trouba has a far tougher assignment and Panarin has been far far worse in the series.

on this thread are absolutely asinine. He hasn't had a good series but these takes are the definition of overreaction. He's one of the 10 best players in the sport no matter which way you look at it, he has a full NMC clause, and the Rangers arent going to trade him regardless. Teams would be lining up to do so if Panarin was willing to waive it and the Rangers were willing to trade him.
Has been atrocious in this series. In the playoffs, you need to be able to play a 200’ game. He can’t do that. He is always looking to leak out for an offensive chance. His defensive zone coverage is non-existent. How many giveaways? Terrific offensive player but there is a reason he hasn’t performed against the better teams.

I love (almost) all of you here, but having to read about trading Panarin down 1 in game 7 is killing me.
I get its extreme, but after watching the way he has played this series, would you not rather have Vatrano, Copp and Motte signed going forward instead of Strome and paying 10 mill a year to Panarin after watching how they have all played in the playoffs?
I thought it is worth a consideration. Sorry if that sounds nuts but Panarin is a monster contract showing up like Minnie Mouse when dollars count with this team.
This is Laf's time to shine. Or Kakko. Or Vatrano.
Doesn't seem to give up rebound opportunities. So attackers have to think they have a way in before just delivering the puck to his glove. But maybe better to do that than keep searching haplessly with more passes. Shoot! And then shoot again.
RE: This is Laf's time to shine. Or Kakko. Or Vatrano.
Laf has been invisible. KK committed a terrible penalty. Chytil… well, we all saw what he did.
Motte and Zibby have been their best forwards by a mile.

Trouba been worse than Panarin. Sorry
Sorry. Needs to be benched
He tried to lift up a stick that was nowhere near the ice. Brilliant.
Damn Motter… damn.

Now, get the Bread man going
Motte, Copp, Vattrano over Panarin? GTFOH

Reading some of you assclowns, you'd get rid of half the team, including Fox!

Vatrano got bumped off of the first line for Motte. I wonder if GG goes back to the original lines??
