Are Pre-Season games at Met Life kid friendly?

Joey in VA : 5/17/2022 2:20 pm
I'm assuming yes, the missus and the kiddos (10,5) want to see the Giants live, and I'm wary of taking them so I was going to get tickets to the Bengals pre-season game. Is it relatively safe and kid friendly or is the usual rabble out? TIA for your assistance and have a lovely Tuesday.

But we might take my almost 2 year old to a 1pm regular season game this year...you guys will be absolutely fine at a preseason game.
There's always rabble

it's NY/NJ metro area, not to mention the drunken rabble.
Pre-Season?

You'll be alright. Regular season? You'll be alright.

Just don't stand up in front of people.

But in all seriousness, usually most pre-season games are a fun fare for kids and adults.
Pre-season is very tame

During the regular season drunken idiots increase during the 4pm amd 8pm games...those should be avoided if you have really young kids....
Giants fans are tame.....as most are longtime season ticket holders.

If anything avoid night games.....

pre-season should be fine but in my mind worse then a regular season game...as most of the regulars don't go.....and night game afford people to drink and tailgate more.....
Totally fine.

Very family friendly. The only preseason games that can get a bit rowdy are the Giant/Jet games. A game against Cincy should be pretty tame.

Other thing is that the stadium is usually half full at best so if you don't like the surroundings you can move. Event staff are usually cool about that during preseason.
I started taking my kids....at a very early age. Now

My kids go to night games without me 🤣
Years ago the Jets-Giants games were a little of a shit show
mikeinbloomfield : 5/17/2022 2:54 pm : link
but I don't know if that's case any more. Not enough people go to the games to cause trouble.

are perfect for young kids simply because there's nobody there. It makes the whole experience much easier.

I remember I went to a Giants/Jets preseason game in 2005 and was surprised to see so many fights lol for some reason the crowd was extra rowdy that night
If you let us know what seats you're in we can arrange for all of you

But I've been to a bunch of preseason games when my daughter was younger and met up with a bunch of BBIers and it was always a great time. Tailgates have a bunch of kids playing and having fun too.
It is fine
ElitoCanton : 5/17/2022 6:01 pm : link
as long as it is isn't a Giants-Jets game. Jets fans ruin everything.
I took my son to his first game last pre-season.
Vin_Cuccs : 5/17/2022 6:04 pm : link
Age 5. I was a little worried but I had no issues at all. Obviously I didn’t tailgate for 5 hours like normal, but he did well and he enjoyed it.

My biggest concern was the bathroom situation, but there is a family bathroom at the top of the stairs of my section. The attendant would unlock the door and he was good to go.

No issues with other fans or opposing fans at all.
Sorry...I didn't read the comments from the rabble
Larry in Pencilvania : 5/17/2022 8:37 pm : link
My experience is there's more kids, more selfies, less people who give a shit about the game, less drinking and more of a family vibe. If you don't want to really get into the game it's perfect
Not if it is vs the Jets

Been there (old Meadowlands), was not kid friendly.

Otherwise, probably yes.

What date is that Bengal game? We have five seats and you can have them.

I just need to check with the rest of my crew that no one plans on going. We wind up eating those tix most of the time anyway. I will get back to you on this thread.
