SF, how good is Smith? I’m not that familiar with him. From what I’ve seen he seems to be a great passer and can sink 3’s like crazy. Great shooting form.

Seeing the talent on display in these playoffs has been eye-opening for me.
Once the smoke clears on this draft, you could argue the Knicks have less talent than anyone team in the East outside of maybe Washington.
We need to nail about five tough decisions this summer - Randle, Mitchell Robinson and this draft pick at the top of the list.
A long time ago, I came to the conclusion that the Knicks were never going to win a championship in my lifetime. Game 6 in Houston, like 2 weeks after my hs graduation, will likely be the closest they ever come.

Knicks need that main guy, they have good young pieces and they have cap flexibility and drsft picks but they need that main guy..
They lost so many games last year because they didnt have a closer...
If the Knicks can get a top guy and keep 2 of Iq, Rj or Toppin and they will be fine

Also i am keeping my eye on Lavine, i think at the end of the day hr resigns with Chicago BUT i think he can be had with a good pitch
They're going to need a bunch of help making that happen and they don't really have much that other teams want. Not saying it can't happen, but someone is going to have to value a couple of Laker picks in a decade or so.

It is not always Dolans fault, you can blame him for hating the media and being a sensitive scumbag, but he spends money and willing to spend money, he has stayed out of the way which everyone wanted...this is on Rose, Wes, Aller and Perrin..its on them to get it right

It starts on ends with the GM/President of Basketball operations. If you want to blame Dolan it's where or if he's receiving advice on who to head up the Knicks operations and then, being able to stay out of player transactions (e.g., the Melo trade). From Scott Layden to Isiah Thomas, to Glen Grunwald, to Steve Mills to Phil Jackson to Steve Mills to Scott Perry. Not a bunch of winners in that group as far as GM operations goes.
