very different to my eye than a Ravens' Edge, expecting a number of changes at Edge, and Ojulari will be tested to play a different game moving forward.
Felt with such a weak unit he would be decent depth this year, maybe he doesn’t fit the system? Certainly think there are others behind him that offer less.
Didn't do anything that would make me have concerns over the decision making. Harris was a costly vet with no upside and doesn't really fit the scheme.
Watch for Roche to get the heave ho this summer too. Just doesn't fit the edge position in this type of 3/4.
I would hope we're not cutting guys just because they were from a previous regime. It would seem to me that the best position to take for any new regime is to keep the best players whenever possible aside from injury concerns and monetary reasons. I would think Daboll wouldn't cut someone without good reason. I'm sure he must have watched tape on all these players. You have to keep the players that make for the best team. That should be the primary goal of any good regime. If you believe otherwise, then you must not think the new regime has the Giants' best interests at heart!

When it comes to the back end of the roster, I think a lot of decisions are simply made on which coaches are familiar with which players. The current regime has no ties to Raymond Johnson, no experience of having him play for someone... and, so, it's pretty easy to give him the heave-ho.
As for Daboll watching tape of Raymond Johnson. Maybe he did, but IMO more goes into cuts like this than just the tape. Johnson is not Daboll's guy... nor anyone else's guy. He's a fringe player and coaches tend to bring in fringe players they are familiar with, rather than keeping a fringe player from a former, de-frocked regime.

Johnson was one of the highest ranked UDFA's we signed after 2021 draft so Schoen and Brown probably were involved in some discussion of him with prior franchises. There were a few holdovers from last year's staff. Although none coached the DL, I am sure they probably had some knowledge. It would not make sense for a DC to gameplan in a vacuum without getting staff together to discuss strengths and weaknesses of available players.
He was waived-injured, FWIW, so he might've just failed his physical.
Surprised about Raymond Johnson III. He flashed a bit last year.
I guess they figured that if they need arms in camp, Schoen cab always step in!
Wow... I thought he was a very promising UDFA last year.
But he was the last regime's guy and neither Schoen nor Daboll have any loyalty to Robert Johnson.
That's the way of the NFL.

Sad.
Sad.
There's still WR Collin Johnson...

No reason to bring anyone in from Maryland their program sucks!

It's always a hotly contested title, but I think you've done enough to cement your legacy as the most useless poster on BBI.
