Ihaven't said one thing incendiary about anybody save for perhaps Snablats because he is wrong about everything. k2, I honestly did NOT think of that and I have loved Green and his rising heat over the years. If something is up, I would prefer that explanation as opposed to something that cant be fixed and he is a fastball pitcher primarily, so a TJ at 30 is not the end of the world. I echo my orig statement that we have an in-house replacement for him currently.
Chad Green is not and has not been below average. He is not as good as he was two years ago, which was closer level on most teams in MLB. We get angry at him because he is not that Chad Green anymore and on occasion gets bombed. He is still a much better than avg RP - or he would have been gone. even when he was putting up great numbers I was always worried about him giving HRs at the worst time in big spots. Reliever's are so volatile from year to year. Green has put together a pretty good resume for the Yankees. Hopefully whatever it is, it's not too serious.
