Finally I did a search and found that Radiohead was sued by a songwriter over part of the melody. The song was "Air That I Breathe" that was a hit by the Hollies. Don't remember name of the songwriter but he had another hit with "It Never Rains in Southern California".
Radiohead lost the suit and had to pay royalties.
