Pat Leonard @PLeonardNYDN Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney had a minor arthroscopic knee procedure, sources say, which is why he’s been in a red jersey on the side at spring OTA practices. But he is expected to be fine and ready for training camp |
I found...hamstring, ankle, thumb, quad, oblique, and shoulder injuries.
Maybe that makes the Wan'Dale Robinson pick more understandable .
True, but what we do know is he barely played last year, was hurt frequently in college, and is currently on the sidelines again… and he also didn’t initially show up for voluntary OTAs, which tends to indicate a lack of commitment to football and his team. Everything else is speculation.
Its good that its a very quick recovery and it shouldn't really hinder him at all. Its bad long term for Toney as it will probably cause some issues for him much later on(many years from now).
Health, head etc
Hope I am wrong.

but that doesn't stop people from accusing players of milking it or dogging it.

Two firearm incidents. Doesn't like or know much about football. Played basically one season in college. The bbi in real time year long cognitive dissonance stream of consciousness is hilarious.
As long as he's there for camp, it's fine. He's shown up and is in the classroom which is what Daboll wanted.

It's been reported he's a negative in the meeting rooms too...

The head coach and WR's coach LITERALLY said the OPPOSITE yesterday.
I think he needs a Cranio-Rectum-Ectomy. He needs to get his head out of his ass.
Health, head etc

Q. What's been your impression of Kadarius Toney so far and what he can bring to your offense?
MIKE KAFKA: Yeah, he's been really attentive in meetings. He's doing all the right things on and off the field. I love his personality. He's one of those guys that brings a smile to the room. He has a bright personality. He's been great to work with.

Toney is bad in the meeting rooms despite what the coaches say.
Plus, he has his head up his ass because he gets injured a lot.
What else?
Oh did I forget to mention the punching and ejection? https://twitter.com/i/status/1447344277827297287
Also some people might want to research something called aa "search engine" to look up old news, like altavista or ask jeeves are good I heard.

Ok, so to clarify....
You claimed that it's been "reported" that he's a problem in meeting rooms, but then there is a "report" that quotes a coach saying he's a pleasure in meeting rooms and your response is that coaches lie all the time. Do I have that right?
“There was some internal momentum for bailing on Toney during his tumultuous rookie season a year ago. His commitment came into question behind the scenes during his rookie year due to lack of playbook study, poor meeting behavior and frequent injuries.”
Dude is made of cheap glass.
I'm hypothesizing based on the information we were given.

Quoting Pat Leonard is no way to go through life.
If you don’t feed the troll he will wander off eventually.

I believe Tucker Carlson broke the story.

I guess the good news is that he already had the surgery and he is working out. I had arthroscopic surgery for a meniscus tear and the doc said basically that it would be a 7 week rehab. I thought that was a pretty minor procedure but I don’t know how different “shaving” the meniscus would be.
P.S. At the end of 7 weeks, the doc told me he was retiring at the end of the month.

He had a knee scope and will be good to go by camp. That tells me that he had a scope and they shaved part of his meniscus. If it was repairable, he'd be out MUCH longer. The fact that it's scoped and his return is soon(Marshall faulk once played a game in 2 weeks after a scope) tells me that they are just cleaning it up. That's both good and bad.

Yeah that's about right for a pedestrian like us. These guys have trainers and round the clock therapy and guidance. I mentioned it earlier, but Marshall Faulk played in a game 2 weeks later. I'd guess for a pro athlete, 4-5 weeks until he's back making cuts and stuff.
Ha! Seriously.

I didn't say anything about his meeting room behavior.
I recalled some of his antics last year. Showed up to his first camp late, and then practiced barefoot because of some shoe problem....way to impress your new coaches. Played sporadically early in the season. Put together a decent game against Dallas, but managed to get himself ejected for fighting, with his team getting blown-out......where's his head again?? Played small against KC, while his team lost by only 3 points. Missed a month of games in December, averaged under 10 yards a catch.
You can call that whatever you want to, but I have my own opinion of it.
As far as Jones, I don’t think he has played that well, but for what he has had missing around him I can see why he could struggle. I can remember Eli the first 3 years and he had his rough outings as well but had far more talent around him and a better offensive system. I am excited to see Jones in this system and hopefully he & the pieces around him can stay on the field.
Neither player may work out but I think this year with a new staff and system they could. I think we should be willing to see before writing them off. If you get the same results this year well we have are answer about them.
Leonard makes up stuff and embellished ALL the time.
THIS coaching f staff has been happy with Toney so far. But we should ignore what THEY say because you can’t believe what anyone says but we should listen to you?? Who does and made you the ultimate authority? Schmuck.
"It is worth acknowledging that the reports of issues with playbook study and poor meeting behavior are exactly that, reports, as the Giants have not publicly shared these complaints about Toney. Although the issues could be true, they also could be exaggerated to justify the trade to the New York fanbase with this information leaking."
It could be smoke....to not publicly say he sucks as a student of the game.
Injuries aside, I wonder if he really isn't all that he's cracked up to be....I mean, he's shown no positive interaction with the team in how long?
I wonder about KT - ( New Window )
They won't.
So the "reports" are probably coming from other teammates and off the record.
Reflect on what I just said.
