in my book. I mean Tim Anderson playing the martyr, that's rich coming from him. Yep, Donaldson is no angel, not a secret in baseball. Then I see 80 yr. old Tony LaRussa running out of the dugout, like he was going to do something. Stay in the dugout old man, before someone pops you.
Lets move on to the doubleheader today, shall we.
Donaldson should have been suspended for pushing Anderson
off third base when the two teams played in Chicago. Unsportsmanlike conduct is against ML rules and the penalty is suspension. As for calling Anderson "Jackie", I see nothing wrong here and certainly nothing racist. Donaldson likes to needle the opposition and it was silly for Anderson to compare himself to Jackie Robinson who changed baseball by enduring a career of death threats and hatred from fans in every city and players on every team. Robinson changed baseball in a way no player ever has, including Ruth who popularized the home run. Anderson's performance in no way is comparable to what Jackie Robinson did.
Anderson pushed Donaldson, after Donaldson leaned on him too much after the tag. The push wasn't that big a push either,
there would be no suspension for that. Now if they threw punches, that changes the equation. That would obviously draw a suspension.

Meh, when Donaldson lost his balance, he pushed Anderson off the bag - it was pretty clear. Anderson did push back. Should have ended there, but that the White Sox would come off the bench was pathetic since the "incident" was pretty benign - but which Anderson played up.
We all know Donaldson is a nudge, but it appears Anderson is a cry baby pu$$y.
I'm ultra sensitive about racial language, and I'm struggling to understand how that's racist.
Donaldson is an absolute dick, and it pains me he's a Yankee. If he got punched in the face I wouldn't blink.
Andersen made an awkward connection between himself and Robinson. It's probably a topic and connection both players should just leave alone.
Andersen having fun playing baseball (the self-described reason he's like Robinson) doesn't belong in the same universe of Robinson. And Donaldson just should be smart enough to not use a civil rights icon's name as an insult no matter the context.

I dont think it should be taken as Tim referring to himself to a civil rights leader as much as a historical icon and people making fun of him for it. I would expect to get my balls busted too if I revived my business and started comparing myself to Lee Iacocca.
People need to relax across the board and playing the race card is about as dangerous and lame as it gets.
Especially early on, I wouldn’t be digging in too hard at the plate.
Probably a good time to stay loose and expect the pitch to go ANYWHERE!!!
Against Cueto? Psssssht, the Yankees have some BEEF on the team. Dig in, take your lump and move on. Even though there was no warnings issued, I doubt the umps let the Sox get away with anything early.

Anderson is a cry baby pussy and whole ‘racism’ angle he’s having his team lean into is bullshit. In 2019, Anderson was quoted in a SI article saying,
“I kind of feel like today’s Jackie Robinson. That’s huge to say, but it’s cool, man, because he changed the game, and I feel like I’m getting to a point to where I need to change the game.”
So, calling him Jackie to reference one of the best players in the history of the game is now racist? What?
What’s even funnier is, in that same article, he admits to saying to Brad Keller,
“I called him a weak-ass f------ n-----,” he says. “That’s what I said.”

Would think it have made sense to either have had the DH yesterday or move game 1 to 1:05.

Game 1 is still 3?

He’s nothing but a whiny, cry baby pussy.
