Not anymore...dammit
Still dont see either team beating TB or even coming all that close to beating them.
What luck are you looking for? You need to compete to get lucky.
Rangers played a really soft game

The same type that Carolina got in game 1
Is he even playing tonight?

Carolina came to play in that third period. We didn’t. They made their luck—we didn’t tonight
While Carolina skated through clean most of the game.
Not much to say after this one. They took us apart from the opening puck drop. Igor and some luck is the only reason it was close
Game 6, do or die, let’s see if this squad can find its nuts when the chips are down yet again

I agree the Rangers got out played in third period but Car only tie it. Their winning goal in OT was pure luck.
Just got out worked most, if not all of the final 2 periods.
I’ve just about had it with Panarin. If they’re not on the PP, he’s just about worthless. He REFUSES to shoot the fucking puck. It’s getting ridiculous at this point. He turns the puck over each time he touches it on some shifts.
Kakko is invisible on the 4th line. Might as well keep Chytil on the first line.

Agree on all. I have never seen a team so inept when they have numbers on a break. They are either late with the pass, or they get gobbled up by a sliding defender. Raanta leaves a pretty big 5 hole.
The whiffs continued for Trouba.
Again, many stupid forced passes and the blue line instead of getting it deep.
I thought this was Miller's worst game. I know his game isn't to clobber people, but he's big enough that when he has a player on the boards he should finish the check. How many times last night did he just continue to skate with and poke check along boards instead stopping the play with a body check? He looked like Deion Sanders they way he was avoiding contact.
I don't know what else to say about Panarin. Charmin soft. Mr. November. Refuses to take open shots. Nauseating.
Do or die again on Saturday.
The odd thing to me was how many plays the rangers just completed whiffed or mis-hit pucks in the neutral zone that should have been put deep.
They were having a brutal time exiting their own zone with possession, and then when they did, it felt like they could hit water from a boat in the middle of the ocean, either due to a stupid decision or physically flubbing the puck.
- refused to take the beats' bait that the top 6 were crap, saying 'I wouldn't put it on them, it was the entire team'.
Agree the entire team played crap, but the top 6 led the charge.
- said the team looked 'tired', but then tweaked that by saying 'they weren't competing' enough.
'Tired' (someone above said, yeah, 'it (tired) happens'; wtf?). 'Tired?" (played to Jim Mora's 'Playoffs, playoffs??') htf do 20 somethings play 'tired' in a crucial, nearly make-or-break game 5 on the road? I think this was more coach speak trying not to throw his team under the bus for all to see in a non-performance in which they were embarrassed, dominated.
- On Svechnikov's 'breakaway': GG said, well, 'unfortunate the puck took that hop over Foxy's stick'. And Giannone in the PG refers to 'the breakaway goal' as if that was all there was too it, not mentioning Fox.
Sheesh, Seamus, Fox was standing flat-footed just outside BL, a tad toward the red line from where Svechnikov was marking. Fox's anticipation/awareness were AWOL there, mere stick length + 1/2 away from one of the best offensive threats in the game, and he knew it after leaving Igor hung out to dry, not Igor's best effort either.
- 'these guys seems to play better with their backs against the wall, they've been doing it all season'. [Although here, that may have been in MSG PG, not Gallant.]
Keep reading and believing the back pages, guys. The caliber of Kreider's play on the ice was exceeded only by his hang-dog PG commentary. Own up, guy.
