He's had a couple good roles, but he'll forever be a legend for Goodfellas. I may fire that up tonight or play some Vice City in his honor

Also great in Cop Land. There was another movie where he played a dirty cop that was good. I think Christian Slater was in it.

Thinking of Unlawful Entry? That was Kurt Russell with Madeline Stowe..

was pretty good in a gritty but low budget film, I think with Jason Patric, called NARC I believe.

He also had some nice supporting roles in a few films over the years, where he just added his flair even if it was a brief role, that kind of added something or gave other characters/actors a little bit of credibility.
RIP to one of my favorite actors.

His Henry Hill was iconic. Goodfellas is still my favorite movie of all time.

I recall when I worked near Trump Tower, I went to grab lunch at a local pizza place and as I waited for the light to change, I looked at the guy to my left and I noticed it was Ray Liotta. He was dressed incognito, so I didn’t bother him.

Will one of these channels finally show “No Escape”??!!!?

Underrated movie. Whole cast of character actors just hamming it up.

I met Ray once at Sundance back in 2002, a helluva nice, regular dude. He parked it at the bar with us and watched NFL playoff games throwing back some cold ones. One my favorite actors, what a punch to the gut. Fuck.

You're not the first person to say Ray was really really cool.

Fucking annoying...as I get older these ages look a lot younger to me. 67 included.

Yep, this was the film he was promoting when I met him at Sundance. Worth watching.

I just watched Ray in a very under-rated movie on Cable -- Killing Them Softly starred Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini and Ray played a supporting role. As usual, he brought his A-game to this production.

If this movies is on your Cable network...give it a try.
I wonder if he had sleep apnea?

with Kurt Russell and Madline Stowe. He was great as a psycho cop obsessed with another man's wife.
I actually feel he was underrated
moespree : 5/26/2022 3:52 pm : link
He was better than even given credit for.

It's a shame he didn't understand GTA and had a falling out with Rockstar because he still is the best voiceover character in that franchise. They were planning to do so much more with him and Vice City which fell apart due to the falling out.
I just saw this ...
short lease : 5/26/2022 3:58 pm : link
67 is young and Ray Liotta looked like a young 67.

Another one of those guys who when you start to go over the roles he played you realize that his career was a lot bigger than one once thought.

Made all his roles effortless. Looked like to me at times he wasn't even acting - so periodically I would wonder about his talent?

He was a great actor though.

RIP.

Saw the movie Sammo and I loved it. Very dark .... Patric plays a narc detective investigating the death of another undercover cop who became an addict and kills someone by mistake?

I might be mistaken it with another movie but, both were good movies - that I remember.
Lotta good roles and underrated movies through the years

it’s a true hidden gem of an action movie. they don’t make too many like that anymore, unfortunately. movie had a gritty quality that can only be achieved without CGI.

RIP to a great one.
