with foot/ankle issues the entire time since he’s been drafted. It’s great that he was effective last year despite that. Would be wonderful if he can finally come into camp at 100% this year and we can see him at his best.

Also of note: Andrew Thomas (in a red jersey) was limping pretty heavily when he tried to run.
are playing OT. Seems odd that Ezeudo was inserted as the starting LT above other guys. If he doesnt start he will be the 1st guy off the bench at any spot but C. Its early but the coaches start to slot guys.
this may be a not irrelevant comp. Dawkins wasnt drafted by anyone in nyg hierarchy but he obviously developed under them. he played tackle at temple but he he wasn't universally viewed as a tackle prospect. he was picked #63, 4 picks ahead of where ezeudu went.
He had surgery on the ankle. Why are people acting surprised by the fact that he’s limping after surgery about 4 months ago? He almost certainly would not have been allowed to walk on it for a month or more, so he has to build up strength and likely rip up the surgery adhesions before he’s ready to go.
Let’ see where he is in April before we start acting like Renault in Casablanca- limping, I’m SHOCKED he’s limping!
so does this mean Thomas's career will be cut short because
of this ankle? i mean he had surgery to correct the issue yet he is hobbling out there like quazzie moto. Maybe he shouldn't even be out there until the ankle is strong enough?

I mean, poor kid but can this team catch a break? Lets say he isn't ready for camp or the season or just struggles with a chronic ankle condition? That would really, really hurt this team and our future. I saw him as a solid foundation piece after last year and his surgery now????
Lets hope Ezedu and Neal shock the world and play well above their heads this year.

There are A LOT of red jerseys for the Giants so far in OTAs. It's always a difficult predictor this time of year when it comes to availability: judging what is them being smart and what is something to be concerned about.
We won't truly know until July and August which is which
Personally, I wouldn't necessarily panic. Everyone screams about limiting injuries, especially considering what the Giants have gone through. So if this is way to try to limit serious, lingering injuries, then it should be viewed as such. It's the end of May. Be ready for August
Giants and preseason injuries go hand in hand at this point.
It's only Memorial Day weekend so of course the no panic theme will be commonly-used. However, even with a high amount of turnover from this continually rebuilding team it just feels like their rosters always have way too many health problems.

The only way the ankle gets “strong enough” is for him to be moving around on it. He’s not exactly lining up and going full throttle here. This is part of his rehab. You want him to just lay on the couch until September?

until they go away. It's been an issue since the day he was drafted.
Yes, and one of the key reasons why Offensive Tackle had to happen with the #5 or #7 overall picks. Especially since the grades were obviously there with several guys and having nothing reliable at swing tackle on the roster to boot...

Oof. This is going to hamper his season isn't it?
There is always some contact. It's football.
Coughlin hit the RB just as he was catching the ball. It was fumble or pick, but Elerson caught the loose ball in the air.

He practiced. He got into a fight today.
Yes. He will be out of the NFL by next year.

I'm being sarcastic.
When the Giants start to practice Evan Neal at left tackle, then it is time to get worried.
Thanks!
There have been so many new additions, I am still getting used to the all of the new names.
We're all really going to need the roster page in front of us during the preseason.
Quote:
2nd team defense, Zyon Gilbert, not Zyron.
Thanks!

"quazzie moto?"
The big question is how will it affect his bell ringing?

The most important thing is not being pressed into resigning a player who is injury prone. Be proactive and have a replacement ready imv.
Doesn’t have the toe fungus that looks like the ads that run on BBI!
In which case his career is over.
