put BBI's best foot forward, Brett standing tall. LGR and let's go see which of Jekyll and Krides/Zibs shows up. Gotta think Gallant challenges their/team's pride.
I will admit though, I'm nervous about the COVID situation and everyone not wearing masks.
I was at one of the games, and it did annoy me a little that almost no one was masked. But I'm vaccinated and wore a kn-95 the whole game, and felt pretty comfortable about it. Keep a good mask on the whole time, your risk is extremely low.
Gonna wear a KN95 and a cloth mask, along with gloves and a hoodie. Not gonna take 'em off and won't eat or drink during the game. I won't be conspicuous at all. Haha.
I'm pretty sure our tickets are 6th row behind the goalie on ice level (even though we got the tickets for a bit below face value, they still cost an arm and a leg). If any of you folks are at the game (HOYA), feel free to wave.

Man, it’s not good to wear a mask like that and breathe in your own waste.

Haha you had me for a second there I thought you were serious.

I was at game 5 on Thursday in NC......non-stop runny nose and sneezing today. I'd wear a mask/bring hand sanitizer in (I didn't do either). Could be allergies, idk...none of my seasonal allergies consist of a nonstop runny nose. Wondering when I should give myself a test.
I passed Joe Schoen on the street. He’s taller than I thought. I yelled at “Coach! Joe! Joe!” And he turned around and waved. Looked
Like he was in a rush.
Schoen looks pretty tall from all the pictures/videos I've seen of him. A guy who I never knew who was absurdly tall until I saw him in person was Conan O'Brien. He has to be 6'5 or something.

Why did you call Joe Schoen “Coach”?
I meant to say Joe, but Coach slipped out first. Haha, I know, I know.
he's worried about covid and wearing 17 masks to the Rangers game, meanwhile when he went to meet Eli Manning he was coughing and sneezing all over him and putting our franchise qb at risk

Why harp on this? He has a fucking auto-immune disease.

Anak, you fucking do you brother.
I'm busting his balls. Anak knows that.
I do think if you're that worried about it the best solution is to stay home. I think he'll be fine but if you are that concerned just watch from home.

I did get him sick. Hey, this was before the era of masks and I was walking back from the doctor’s when I saw him in a store on Madison Avenue.
How’s the crowd man? Never got to experience a game at MSG and it’s on my bucket list.
Incredible and loud. Everyone’s excited. I am too, but I look like the fucking Unibomber over here. I got sick seats. 6th row in Igor’s left corner.
Sick, good for you. I looked at tickets with some of my buddies but they were outrageous, like $400 for bad seats. It’s like impossible to get anything reasonable second hand.
Enjoy and keep doing whatever you’ve been doing so far!
he's been brutal all series, especially on the PP.
he won't, but I would.
If you don't have TDA on the power play, there is no point having him in the lineup all together.
he had 30 even strength points - and I hate the stat but he was plus 30, but you have watched the series, do you think he looks good back there? I don't.
the Rangers losses in CAR have all been close games, even when the Rangers are outplayed.
The CAR losses in NY are not really close - even game 3 I didn't think was as close as the score.
eventually, you have to believe that catches up to CAR. IMO game 7 is on Igor - he got them there, if they win, it will be because of him.
Game 5 was so lopsided...we looked slow and were outshot badly----solid scoring chances from my seats were like 1 to 5 ratio. we sucked that game for whatever reason.

And the crazy part is most of CAR’s home goals are off of odd man rushes after asinine Ranger turnovers. Cut down on that shit and they can barely score.
I’d consider playing the second line a LOT less. They were brutal on both goals allowed. The fourth line was 17,000% better with Goodrow in place of Rooney.
Shesty saved the bacon a lot early and was excellent.
What a season for this team. Who could've asked for anything more?
Me.
I want a Stanley Cup. Watching your team getting bounced in the second round and being thankful is for the birds.
Just a matter of opinion, but I find this to be a tremendously sad way of approaching things as a fan. Especially in a game as gut-wrenching as hockey.
I won’t sit here and talk trash to other fanbases about reaching game 7 of the conference semis…but that’s not what I’m here for anyway. Even just these 13 games of hockey have brought joy and excitement to my life that I won’t give back. And memories with my 7 year old son that neither of us will ever forget.
I’m happy to let the “trophy or bust” stuff be for the athletes. But I will counter it with this, at a minimum — even if Monday doesn’t go well, I think it would be crazy to say that this mini-run wasn’t tremendously meaningful to a roster that includes Fox, Miller, Schneider, Laf, Kakko, Chytil.

There is growth happening, and it matters.
There are seasons where its title or bust - this isnt one of those seasons for the Rangers. The 86 Mets were title or bust, so were the 87-90 Mets. The Dodgers in each of the last several years. The 94 Rangers and the 2015-16 Rangers. Teams built to win now who go all in that year to win it all. That isnt this year's Rangers
As I've said since the end of the season, this playoff experience was the next step for these players. And to get a pair of Game 7s, and one home/one road, is invaluable for so many of them
To say what Route 9 said, for this team, is ridiculous. Especially after 4 non-playoff years. If that is how you root, then be prepared for a lifetime of disappointment.
.
Yes it will not be fun if they lose Monday, but this franchise took a huge step this year win or lose. And next season they need to go all in, that is the next step
The way he played to ight I can get behind even if he doesnt have 2/3 points a game. He looks a ton more confident playing now.
Miller is great at cancelling the opposing rush, but he has really been below average at moving the puck along as of late. Somebody who skates like he does, that shouldnt be a problem. He will get better at that as Carolina is a fast team.
Will somebody please knock Domi on his ass cross eyed? I havent seen a player get away with so many after the whistle shots in a long time. He is beyond Sean Avery. At least Avery was subtle. That little cockroach-faced, dumpster kitten spawned piece of Manitoban trash needs to be laid the fuck out. He always does shit in front of the refs too, they see it and only separate after a Ranger reacts. Put his little punk ass in the box, score a goal and then when we get up by 3, send somebody over to goad him into an ass kicking.

Route 9 is a casual fan.. He has made that clear with ill-informed and empty post after another. Who fucking cares what he thinks. He wants 7-4 hockey games every game. Hes a badketball fan who likes the Rangers.
I was next to Colton Orr twice and I had no idea who he was. Haha, some recognized him and were taking photos with him, but I had no clue who he was.
Best ovation of the night went to Mariano Rivera. Second and third were Sauce Gardner and Obi Toppin. The actress who plays Mrs. Maisel is a hottie. The fans were all over Tony DeAngelo (not surprisingly). Big game by Chytil and Igor made some great saves. It was awesome seeing Goodrow back out there.
I can't believe I called Joe Schoen "coach". My dream is to work for the NY Football Giants and I called my potential boss "coach". Haha, it slipped out. He was passing by and I said, "Coach! Joe! Joe!" - no wonder he wouldn't stop.
I have no issue with the "casual fan" label ( I know I've said this before many times on here) given by some stranger. I will admit that I'm more into the Giants than I am the Rangers. I mean last time that I checked this is a New York Giants football board, no?
Sorry if I do not meet the requirements of a "hardcore fan" who spends everyday giving the final breakdown about 6th round draft picks who are 17 years old.
Weren't the Blues one of the worst teams in the league the year they won it all? If I remember the Bruins weren't all that impressive the year they won it all in 2011, but they still did.
Spare me the set speech. I've heard this before. They won 50+ games and made the playoffs. They are capable (and eligible) of winning the Stanley Cup.
Yeah. I am hyped and want to see them win the whole thing. Sue me. I'd rather be pissed off for the time being they lost then ever have some equal fan tell me what's what and who is who.
Also that logic is stupid. They're literally a game away from the ECF so they are capable. I can and should expect them to win it all.
Wasn't Cup or bust in 2015? How'd that one go?
I also went to the 2014 ECF and paid out my ass for that game 6 vs Montreal. Never was thinking I was a casual fan that day but OK.
I mean it was the last Ranger game I went to at home lol
Give me a break superfans, I didn't have MSG this year, for the first time in my life.

Not going to touch on this mych more nor the reverse hyperbole you bring yo Rangers threads, but your posts are miserable, ei. Or lose. You offer nothing except for "wahhhhh, the Rangers don't win enough for me but Im going to keep whining about it" and never offer any perspective.
Look I dont care what you do, but Im just telling you how you come across and it's lame.
I have to watch games at work so I'm watching them on my phone. I'd be in the game threads screaming how the Rangers are screwed over by the refs every other second. That's why I'm not on here as much, Daniel.
Says the guy who was fighting with another poster about being a gym teacher and how great of a stock brocker they are in the middle of a game.
Yea, that didnt happen....I very rarely post during games...that happened well after the game was over dipshit. Lol.
But keep up the good work. Cant wait for your next bit of tremendous insight after the game on Monday and then the inevitable "I was with them the whole time" posts that are to inevitably follow if they win.
You literally gave up on this team after game 3 or 4 against Pitt and are now back on the bandwagon.
Were your seats???? You didnt recognize Colton Orr? You called Joe Schoen "coach?" You had one chance at NYG internship and you called the GM coach? That's like calling a judge by his first name in court. Lol
Glad you had fun and that you got to be amonst all those celebs....even if they had to move back the fence line on you. 😉
On a trip we were supposed to take 2 years ago.
I am so proud of this Rangers team. The valuable playoff experience for the kids and that include Igor is tremendous.
The 7th game is winnable in Carolina just play your Ranger game. Physical forecheck and backcheck and coverage responsibility.
We can do this guys.
Let’s go Rangers!!!!
I didn't think they played all that well. Thankfully Igor did his thing and we have a chance to advance. They were hemmed in their own zone for LOOOOOONG stretches.
Chytil is really maturing before our eyes. Decisive with the puck, physical and skilled. And refreshingly not shy about shooting.
Goodrow made a difference. Faceoffs alone were worth it.
Where is Kreider? He's picked a hell of a time to disappear.
I think whatever view a fan has is fine - who is anyone else to say what is right or wrong, but I do think both things are true.
1. The Rangers were underestimated by many fans and media (though not all the media). And they are right where they should be. Not gravy or house money or a year early. Once they learned Igor is the goods and extended Mika and Kreider and signed Goodrow to a team who already had Panarin and Trouba you no longer had a year or two before being expected to contend. And the Rangers had the perfect playoff makeup IMO - elite goalie, high end top line talent, and a solid top 4 D.
2. The learning experience from their 6 young players is meaningful and can help down the road.
Just my personal opinion is I would have been disappointed if they lost to PIT, that would have been a disaster IMO - the Rangers were favored in that series and had home ice. I also thought the Rangers matched up well vs Carolina the one thing I didn't expect was Raanta to be as good as he was in those few games when he was really good. So I did expect the Rangers to win this series. I think they can beat Tampa too, only the different thing with Tampa is that Vasilevskiy is not a 2nd or 3rd string goalie so it will be the first series/playoff game other than the Jarry game 7 where they face a starting goalie so if the Rangers win Monday it wouldn't be a shock for them to lose to TB, but I think they will win because the Rangers have more talent than TBL except on the blue line where TBL has an edge, but TB D is not physical and the Rangers can exploit them.
On delay. My opinion is that Igor’s interference penalty saved the Rangers ass. Three of the five Rangers were stuck on the ice out of gas. The stoppage in play allowed the Rangers to regroup with new players and ultimately changed the momentum of the game at that time. Just my opinion. The Rangers probably win anyway but it would have been a much closer game.

Though it's sometimes difficult to make out the Q&A via translator in the PG, I think Igor as much as said that was his intention. But when a penalty is called, can you change lines, why would it be any different from the lesser sanction of an icing? Not sure
Gives them a stout 4th line and GG put them out there for the opening draw. Goodrow’s presence seems to have allowed Motte to get more comfortable attacking offensively.
question for you about Igor - and it's not a criticism - he's probably the best goalie on the planet right now. but is it just me or does he over emphasize his glove - what I mean is he'll make a glove save and then "snatch" or whatever you call it and like a split second after the save like Patrick Roy used to do - just wondering of there's a technical reason for it or if he's just hamming it up (like I always thought Roy was doing).
this isn't a great example of it, but maybe there's a reason for it.
Point, TBL best player, is likely out the entire ECF (at least), I don't think TB has the fire power to beat a team with a goalie like Igor.
I don't think they'd beat CAR either.
From a player’s perspective, how much of a factor do you think fatigue would be given that TB swept?
I really think fans/media view fatigue as an issue more than the players. They're playing a game every other day.
most of these guys are in peak physical shape. I don't see rest being a big advantage.
I think the only thing the rest allows for the resting team is to get healthier. But Point is their best player and he won't be back for the conference finals from what I read.
In comment 15720671 pjcas18 said:...If I were Gallant I'd consider putting Lafreniere on the PP1 for Kreider. He won't, but I would. [/quote]
Couldn't agree more. He looks withdrawn, his play is passive, at best, doesn't finish checks, skating desultory, shots perfunctory. After game 2 and his repeated, hangdog 'can't sit back' comments, I made a post on that, because it seemed to me he opened a window to his mindset. Then more of the same in his post-game 5; the optics were awful. He seems to know it.
Hoya, nice comments, agree, this season has been an early x-mas gift (except to pj): and of the kids you mention, who could have expected 20-year old #45 to have the season he's having, and to my eyes improving as the post-season wears on. Not perfect but I thought he had a tremendous game last night. And after the fits and starts of the kids-line (KK out for ~25 games; he and Laf at various times relegated to the 4th), here they are carrying the team and ESPN singing their praises for an entire NA hockey world to see and hear.
And who could have expected them to be outplaying their older, more experienced, more highly paid vets? Electrifying.
I don't know if Gallant sees it this way, but he has to do something about the 2nd line: it has been such a defensive liability, especially in Raleigh. Like pj mused what GG will not do, taking Kreider off PP1, I would put Goodrow at 2C and drop Strome: with Copp, that line has good semblance of two-way play and Panarin alone is not such a liability.

It isn't that. It's that you keep whining about the same shit for a team that has already greatly exceeded the expectations that were set for them going into the season.
It's like complaining about the Giants this year if they go 10-6, win a wild card game, and get bounced in the divisional round.
there's a big difference between knowing every 6th round pick and at least being somewhat informed about the team you ostensibly root for.

It's a fine example, clues me in. Think the snatch is to counter the wobble of the glove so the puck does not leak out the outer edge. Stationary, a hard shot might have such force as to bend the glove back and result in 'leakage' (not a hockey term lol), with the puck squirting out the end and loss of control. I think the snatch counters that and keeps it tucked in the pocket. just a guess

You can change lines after a penalty is called. Icing is when you cannot change players unless there is an injury.
Expectations are constantly changing. People have the right to look at things how they want to but me personally, I don’t understand how anyone is ok with a a game 7 loss simply because the team exceeded their expectations coming into the season. The assumption that they are young so they will surely be back here again is fools gold. History is littered with young, up and coming teams in all sports that never reached their potential. When the opportunity arises, embrace it. This opportunity may never come again for this group, regardless of how young the team is. It’s certainly not a given and shouldn’t be considered as such.
The 2017 Yankees made it to game 7 of the ALCS and lost. But they were a year earlier than expected so everyone just assumed they’d be back and win multiple championships with that young core. They haven’t been back since…

So when the Giants went 10-5-1 with Fassel in his first year in 1997, and they blew that game late against Minnesota, everyone just shrugged that loss off? I don't think so. We still talk about that game on here to this day.
Also. Again. I didn't have the Rangers this year because of the MSG Network spat with Xfinity. I'll watch every game when I can. It's the beginning of the seasons that I'm not as tuned into because ... That's football season and my main concern is the Giants.

Agree 100%. The Rangers are here now and are in the thick of this thing. They know they can beat the Hurricanes, they just have to do it in Raleigh.

If that Blues team can win the whole thing from a few years back, so can the Rangers.
The 2011-2012 Devils were another weird team who made it as far as the SCF who stretched that series to 6 games. I remember no one saw that coming. Montreal got in last year. That was one of the worst teams I've seen in a championship series or game ... in my life.
Row 6. I was above one of the tunnels.
Oh, FFS. It's Colton Orr. Like I'm supposed to recognize goon scrubs. Maybe next time I can run into Dale Purinton or Sandy McCarthy.
Yeah, that Joe Schoen thing was embarrassing. Fucking stupid. I just hope he doesn't remember my voice!

Medsing with you.
Haha, I know. I don't think I have a favorite brawler. Domi and Kocur were a bit before my time, guys like Purinton, McCarthy, Hollweg, Boogaard (RIP), Brashear (douche), Rupp. I guess maybe Prust, but after what he did to Stepan, he can go fuck right off. Dorsett? Meh.
Row 6. I was above one of the tunnels.
Oh, FFS. It's Colton Orr. Like I'm supposed to recognize goon scrubs. Maybe next time I can run into Dale Purinton or Sandy McCarthy.

Guys like those guys were so one-dimensional. They didn't offer much unless they were throwing down.

Part of ehy I like Reaves so much. Not only is he THEE baddest, but you dont lose TOO much with him on the 4th line. He is really good along the boards and freeing up the puck.
Is it me or has Lindgren stepped up his game big time this postseason? Im not saying it just because pj pointed out that Lindgren was growi g on him, but he has been so much quicker in puck retrieval and he is even punching in on the offensive zone more.
His game kinda reminds me of Adam Foote's. Brings a heavy game to cancel out defenders and is mostly stay at home, but is willing to get into the offense.
Not saying your views are off, agree with them, but I think his importance to the team jumped into sharp relief when he missed games with the lbinjury and Fox struggled so. It's way clear his importance is not lost on his teammates, not high profile headline grabber, sticks to his knitting, is always there to stand up to hooliganism vs his teammates--long time bedrock. Like newer versions Motte, Goodrow.

Haha. I think the main thing is how underrated his skating and puck handling is given his game. I was kind of getting down on him because of how light his hit game was becoming. I had no idea he was a sub 200 lb player. I dont know how many more years he has in the league because of that, but man does he play an iron game.
I never thought he was a bad player and I'm still not sure he's best suited as a top 4 D, but Lindgren's value became clearer to me after seeing Nemeth forced into the lineup. I just didn't watch the Rangers as much as some of you so I think I had underrated Lindgren a little and wasn't aware how bad Nemeth is. So, he's maybe not a superstar, but I think the Rangers would be out of the playoffs by now if not for Lindgren (and if they had to play Nemeth).
RE: job done, now win it there. Much more energetic and physical but
I didn't think they played all that well.
Panarin actually took a shot!! :-)
The reason Panarin took a shot was because Kreider made the perfect read and pass to him.

I agree about the top 4 in that Lindgren and Fox are both pretty light in the ass. Thats significant because you want at peast one D on the ice that can move people in front of the net. Lindgren plays a surprisingly heavy game (again, he does NOT play a 190 lb game) but isnt a heavy hotter necessarily.
I dont see us being able to be in the market for a LD that we can switch up with him tho. As I have said, I hope that we can switch up the pairings in the offseason a bit....pairung Trouba with Zac Jones and Miller with Schneider. I think they are more complimentary.
He really isnt a top pair guy. Problem is Trouba is righthanded like Fox. They need to acquire a top pair LD to go with Fox
I think tuey can make do with what they have if they Jones can take the next stem and be paired with Trouba or even Schneider. Jones and Schneider could be a pairing for years.
they need to clean up their own end. Getting a top pair LD and moving the other LD down a notch gives the Rangers a really solid D top to bottom
Nail down a real 2C, and the team is ready for next season
You have to stop hating on K'Andre. It's an obsession with you. Is he a top-4 D? Yes. And he has potential to be a top guy if he cleans up the mental mistake. He shouldn't be "moved down". That's absolutely ridiculous.
Plenty of time to talk offseason shit...in the offseason
But if I'm choosing between K'Andre and Lindgren, it's not even close. Not even a discussion. You go with upside and the more talented player.
I love how tough Lindgren is and he and Fox have tremendous chemistry, but with his brand of physical play he's bound to break down sooner or later. He's signed to a decent deal, but I hope Drury sees if there's a market for him. Seems like this offseason would be when his value is at his highest.
He will probably be a top 4, but he isnt now. This team is a fire drill on every shift in their own zone. Settle that down with a top LD that moves other left D down (Lindgren really isnt a top pair D but would be a solid 2nd pair guy), get a real 2C, and they are a true Cup contender next season
By the way, Buchnevich scored just 1 goal in his 12 playoff games. Copp and Vatrano have combined for 8 goals so far
Serious note - I do hope you are feeling well after being in that crowd last night

Miller has the size, skating ability and reach to make up for his defensive lapses. He'll only get better with time and seasoning. His minutes don't need to be sheltered. In fact, he should be given more responsibility next year. I also would like to see Zac Jones or maybe even Matthew Robertson in the NHL getting regular minutes next year. The issue then becomes that you'll have a very young and inexperienced 3rd pair in Jones/Robertson-Schneider, but Gord Murphy can deal with that.
Agree about the 2C. That's their #1 priority. There's also the chance that Drury re-signs Copp and Gallant moves him to C full-time.
Buchnevich had 11 points in 12 playoff games. I'll take a PPG in the playoffs any day of the week.
Thank you. Just waiting to see if I get any symptoms... Link - ( New Window )

Copp isnt a 2C on a championship team, but he is someone to keep if they can. I like Vatrano's shot, and that he shoots, but he doesnt seem to do anything else
This team has been so resilient. Let’s do it again tonight!
And the Rangers force game 7.
the games in NY have been more lopsided than those in CAR and in game 7 NYR catch up and win the series.
You’ll be fine, be loud and proud! Enjoy the game, LGR!!
That's a really good point Anakim. My sister has it now. Let's hope for a 7th game and a convincing victory tonight.
LFGR!!!
You have to do what's right for you, so you feel comfortable, maybe wear two or three masks including one of those N95s or whatever they're called.
I was at one of the games, and it did annoy me a little that almost no one was masked. But I'm vaccinated and wore a kn-95 the whole game, and felt pretty comfortable about it. Keep a good mask on the whole time, your risk is extremely low.

Wait… was this a serious comment?
As far as I know, no. And yeah, I'm vaxxed and got my booster back in October.
A few of my friends/co-workers have been vaccinated and still ended up getting COVID. A couple were even bedridden and one has Long COVID.
Since I have an autoimmune disease, I'm at a greater risk for a symptomatic illness so I have to be extra cautious, in general.

Have you had Covid buddy? Vaxxed? If yes to both, why would you be worried? Serious question, not trying to start shit, just curious

How could they get Covid if they were vaxed. That’s impossible.

You cant be serious.....aserious.....are you serious?

Gonna wear a KN95 and a cloth mask, along with gloves and a hoodie. Not gonna take 'em off and won't eat or drink during the game. I won't be conspicuous at all. Haha.

Enjoy the game!
Let's Go Rangers!!!!! I want to go to game 7!!!!
I am with YOU! Get it to 7, worry about it then! LGR!
Yes, Game 7 would be on Monday.
Like he was in a rush.
Give him shit about being a Cowboys fan.
Like he was in a rush.
Why did you call Joe Schoen “Coach”?
Rooney not on the ice for early warmups, Goodrow out there and acting like someone who intends to play.
Apologies for the cold water I threw on his return earlier this week…
Like he was in a rush.
Conan O'Brien 6'5"? Looked 5'9" on TV.
LGR!

I meant to say Joe, but Coach slipped out first. Haha, I know, I know.
Anak, hope you are having fun. Good luck charm.
Anak, you fucking do you brother.
Definitely. Gotta get nastier in front of their own net. Igor’s standing on his head.

he's worried about covid and wearing 17 masks to the Rangers game, meanwhile when he went to meet Eli Manning he was coughing and sneezing all over him and putting our franchise qb at risk
Why harp on this? He has a fucking auto-immune disease.
Anak, you fucking do you brother.
I'm busting his balls. Anak knows that.
I do think if you're that worried about it the best solution is to stay home. I think he'll be fine but if you are that concerned just watch from home.
How’s the crowd man? Never got to experience a game at MSG and it’s on my bucket list.
I did get him sick. Hey, this was before the era of masks and I was walking back from the doctor’s when I saw him in a store on Madison Avenue.

Enjoy and keep doing whatever you’ve been doing so far!
but...this is why I picked the Rangers to go far in the playoffs. Igor keeps them in every game and Raanta lets in two softies.
Outcome from the first period was great, but the Rangers need to play better.
Rantta knocked out of the game.
I believe he's about to break out
Only have heard his name in the wrong situations
at least the Rangers are scoring tonight, but this team is not playing well in the d-zone at all.

I've been at work all night and that's what I said. They'll probably pull game 6 off but I doubt game 7 but I hope I'm wrong
He was doing what Carolina does all over the ice all game long and never getting called for it. They interfere like crazy and never get a penalty
Lol, keep the insight coming.

A two-arm push down at the shoulders completely out of the paint and at the side? Inexplicable.
Little I’d like more from this game than him having a chance to gun for the empty net.
They were arguing for 2 instead of 4
He just joined Kreider as only being mentioned for being dumb

I will eat it cold please.
And stupid. Gave away a pp. what a dummy.
A lot of Fins play that way and I suspect Kakko will too eventually.
If I were Gallant I'd consider putting Lafreniere on the PP1 for Kreider. He won't, but I would.
he's been brutal all series, especially on the PP.

he had 30 even strength points - and I hate the stat but he was plus 30, but you have watched the series, do you think he looks good back there? I don't.
Totally!
Rangers bring your A game and the MSG mojo.
Igor, stand on your head Monday and we will win.
Also, Lindgren, stop deflecting shots for goals against.
Let Igor make the stops.

He said no, Raanta starts.

Sorry if I do not meet the requirements of a "hardcore fan" who spends everyday giving the final breakdown about 6th round draft picks who are 17 years old.
I'm used to disappointment.
Lol. Get a grip. Let loose.
Sorry if I do not meet the requirements of a "hardcore fan" who spends everyday giving the final breakdown about 6th round draft picks who are 17 years old.
Onward.
I have to watch games at work so I'm watching them on my phone. I'd be in the game threads screaming how the Rangers are screwed over by the refs every other second. That's why I'm not on here as much, Daniel.
Jesus just stfu.
Glad you had fun and that you got to be amonst all those celebs....even if they had to move back the fence line on you. 😉
We want the Cup
Now, now, now.
We will have none of that. See, the goal here is to temper expectations and clap for a good effort.
You can't want ... but you can have a pragmatic approach. Get it?
Chytil is really maturing before our eyes. Decisive with the puck, physical and skilled. And refreshingly not shy about shooting.
Goodrow made a difference. Faceoffs alone were worth it.
Where is Kreider? He's picked a hell of a time to disappear.
Panarin actually took a shot!! :-)
I mean they are 1.53x defending champions. Somebody has to knock their block off pretty soon.
I don't think they'd beat CAR either.
this isn't a great example of it, but maybe there's a reason for it.
I don't think they'd beat CAR either.
From a player’s perspective, how much of a factor do you think fatigue would be given that TB swept?
Quote:
Point, TBL best player, is likely out the entire ECF (at least), I don't think TB has the fire power to beat a team with a goalie like Igor.

Thanks. That’s what I was hoping you would say!

It's like complaining about the Giants this year if they go 10-6, win a wild card game, and get bounced in the divisional round.
there's a big difference between knowing every 6th round pick and at least being somewhat informed about the team you ostensibly root for.
this isn't a great example of it, but maybe there's a reason for it.

On delay. My opinion is that Igor’s interference penalty saved the Rangers ass. Three of the five Rangers were stuck on the ice out of gas. The stoppage in play allowed the Rangers to regroup with new players and ultimately changed the momentum of the game at that time. Just my opinion....
Though it's sometimes difficult to make out the Q&A via translator in the PG, I think Igor as much as said that was his intention. But when a penalty is called, can you change lines, why would it be any different from the lesser sanction of an icing? Not sure
You can change lines after a penalty is called. Icing is when you cannot change players unless there is an injury.
The 2017 Yankees made it to game 7 of the ALCS and lost. But they were a year earlier than expected so everyone just assumed they’d be back and win multiple championships with that young core. They haven’t been back since…

It's not that? Oh. i was called a casual fan by another poster, which I had I had no issue with. That's what that was a response to, actually.

Anyway, whatever, IDGAF. You do you.
Neither do I.
If that Blues team can win the whole thing from a few years back, so can the Rangers.
The 2011-2012 Devils were another weird team who made it as far as the SCF who stretched that series to 6 games. I remember no one saw that coming. Montreal got in last year. That was one of the worst teams I've seen in a championship series or game ... in my life.
Glad you had fun and that you got to be amonst all those celebs....even if they had to move back the fence line on you. 😉

Were your seats???? You didnt recognize Colton Orr? You called Joe Schoen "coach?" You had one chance at NYG internship and you called the GM coach? That's like calling a judge by his first name in court. Lol

Lol, I was kidding. McCarthy is very recognizable bit I thimk Orr was my favorite brawler ever. Re: Schoen, Im pretty sure he doesnt remember every girl who screams his name, so I think you're fine...as long as you didnt try and kiss him too.

Dorsett? Meh.

Haha. I think the main thing is how underrated his skating and puck handling is given his game. I was kind of getting down on him because of how light his hit game was becoming. I had no idea he was a sub 200 lb player. I dont know how many more years he has in the league because of that, but man does he play an iron game.
Chytil is really maturing before our eyes. Decisive with the puck, physical and skilled. And refreshingly not shy about shooting.

I think tuey can make do with what they have if they Jones can take the next stem and be paired with Trouba or even Schneider. Jones and Schneider could be a pairing for years.
Nail down a real 2C, and the team is ready for next season
Nail down a real 2C, and the team is ready for next season
You have to stop hating on K'Andre. It's an obsession with you. Is he a top-4 D? Yes. And he has potential to be a top guy if he cleans up the mental mistake. He shouldn't be "moved down". That's absolutely ridiculous.
I love how tough Lindgren is and he and Fox have tremendous chemistry, but with his brand of physical play he's bound to break down sooner or later. He's signed to a decent deal, but I hope Drury sees if there's a market for him. Seems like this offseason would be when his value is at his highest.

Copp isnt a 2C on a championship team, but he is someone to keep if they can. I like Vatrano's shot, and that he shoots, but he doesnt seem to do anything else
