He is clearly nearing the bust category. I still think that they won't cut him. Due to his draft pedigree some team will give up a 6th or 7th for him in hopes that they can turn him around.
1st round pick getting over injury that soon. Becton has flashed when healthy. The Jets would be fools to cut him for nothing.
There is far more to it than that. Last year it was reported that HC Robert Saleh had enough of Becton and that the Jets were not going to guarantee him a roster spot. The Jets clearly were waiting to see how the draft unfolded before unloading Becton. They were unable to land an OT early enough so they were forced to keep him another year in hopes that he will finally turn it around.
The reasons that Saleh has all but given up on Becton are due to his conditioning, practice habits, and Saleh was angered by Becton's inability to play through injuries that he deemed minor.
reminds me Ereck Flowers last year with the Giants. Both were disappointing former 1st round pick who were moved to RT in hopes that they would justify their draft position.

Becton looked better than Flowers ever did at tackle when he was healthy, though.
Fant moved over to LT and started rest of season there.
With Moses Morgan gone, the least disruptive o-line arrangement is to pencil in MB as replacement at RT.
For those who just see Fant as undrafted, and therefore a mediocrity, bear in mind that he has legitimate OT length and bulk, and his lower half athleticism is approaching phenom status.
Not a big MB fan, and it is unfortunate that the Jets seemed to have bought into the "wow" factor. GM has made few mistakes, but drafting MB when Tristan Wirfs was there for the plucking seems to be one.
Fatal flaw for MB appears to be a combination of immaturity combined with a stubborn, independent streak. Meanwhile, HC is comparing his body work to what Zack Wilson and Denzel Mims did in the off-season and this is not flattering to MB's will to succeed.
Lol, I’m assuming you did that on porpoise
