Bucs cut P Bradley Pinion

The #Buccaneers are releasing P Bradley Pinion today, source says. Tampa drafted Jake Camarda in the fourth round. Pinion, who kicked and punted through a torn hip labrum and hip impingement last year, passed a physical yesterday. Expect multiple teams to have interest.

Giants haven’t added competition for Jamie Gillan, but 14 teams (including the Bucs even after this move) are carrying multiple punters. Even if the Giants don’t add someone like Pinion, Gillan is competing against the punters from those 14 teams during the preseason

I find it odd the Giants have no competition for Gillan

obviously, there will be other punters cut eventually, but he just doesn't have the track record for there to be no competition at this point imo

and was a rugby player. He is still learning the nuances of punting in the NFL. The Giants, it appears, really like him. That said, it’ll be interesting to see if he ends up being our punter. There’s plenty of time to see if he’s really the guy and for others to come in and punt if need be. It’s not like they would have to learn a play book.

its not like they need to learn the playbook. If Gillian does well in the preseason he will get the job if not one of the punters who gets cut will get it. We are paying minimum NFL wage right now.
