which just made it even better. You are seeing the team broken up into smaller teams based on their beliefs and what they are willing to do. Kimiko is proving to be a fuckin bad ass without her powers or is she starting to get them back? M and Starlight make a good team but will die quickly if they keep trying to do this the honest way. Hughie and Butcher are kicking ass right now.
Then you look at the supes and they are a disaster. Deep is such a tool but plays his ass kissing role well. Noir just got the fuck out. It reminds me of that Tommy Davidson skit where he was like, "Imma go to the car, and get some marshmallows." I forgot what happened with Maeve. Do we know or was it just implied that she is locked up/dead? A-Train is getting what is coming to him but that scene with Blue Hawk was great. And then, of course, Homelander. It was great finally seeing him squirm since he's been in power.
I wonder what the plan is that Butcher has for Soldier Boy if he completes the job. Although, I don't expect Homelander to be killed. I am just trying to think how they will keep pushing Homelander to his breaking point (real breaking point that we haven't seen although he has hit smaller ones prior) and keep the show going. It seems like once he gets to that part that it'll be him or The Boys that go.
I wonder if Homelander goes back to Stan Edgar now with his tail
I think the entire cast has turned it up a notch, as they've been given a little more meat this season to work with. And yes, the Giants shirt was tremendous.
"You just made up those words."
"No, I didn't, they are actual words"
I was a little disappointed with the Homelander-mirror bit.
It just struck me an surprisingly unoriginal. Other than that, I thought this episode was great, especially the very powerful ending.
The thing is, he has nobody anymore so how else do you show the struggle within him? No more Elizabeth Shue, no more Nazi, no more Maeve, no more Stan, no more shape shifter, etc.

I suppose if I gave it some thought I could come up with something. I'm surprised the writers didn't. It seemed to me they took the easy way out (the lazy way, too) and went with a routine that's been done many times before.
I guess I'm in the minorty but I don't like it and am having to push
myself through it (I may not make it). It just seems way over the top for me, starting with that first scene. For my taste, its too much "sensationalistic stuff" (if thats a word) and too little plot or story
Put aside the herogasm and mirror scene, the fight scene at the end was amazing. It wasn’t gratuitous bc of the R+ rating, it was just awesome on several levels.
Just a thought, Noir is supposed to be the baddest supe on the planet. Did he turn tail and run out of fear, or strategy? If the latter, is it against Homelander or Soldier Boy? I am pretty sure Noir was the one who abducted Maeve. Think there is a plan here.
RE: One of the best supe fight scenes of all time, not kidding

If I recall, in the comic Noir is supposed to be a clone of Homelander, but the show doesn't seem to follow that same story line. I'd say hiding as he was part of the plan to get rid of Soldier Boy.

That’s my initial thought but the show has severely underplayed just what a badass Noir is.
This was done because Vought wanted an "insurance policy" in case Homelander became uncontrollable. But Noir ended up as the real villain, the real uncontrollable one, who committed many unspeakable acts - I mean really freakin' unspeakable - and framed Homelander in the process.
They've toned Noir down quite a bit (so far) and made Homelander the principal bad guy in the series. I kind of like that, because Antony Starr plays it so well. His performance reminds me of Guy Pearce's Count Mondego in 2000's "The Count of Monte Cristo."
I have mine but open to suggestions. I dont want to play spoiler either.
I generally liked it, as there was emotional closure for (at least) two of the characters I like.
I thought the plot twist they needed to set up next season was a little heavy handed. I hope they go only one or two more seasons, as it's starting to feel a little repetitive even though I love the show.
Most of the rest of my comments would include spoilers so I'll hold off for now.

Yeah, me too. Give it at least another week, and then start a new "Season 3 Recap" thread with "Spoilers" in the title.

I tried responding to a few people and it's just kind of impossible to do without spoilers. If someone wants to start the spoilers thread I'm game.
Haven't seen it yet but they were really hyping it up as if it was going to be explosive.
And hey, Soldier Boy repping the NYG.
Really? If they went any more "all out" the episode would be featured on PornHub.

Pretty much. The stuff that happened to MM wasnt enough lol
R.I.P. Termite, lol.

I agree, so far he's been pretty unstoppable. The only thing that stopped him so far was when Maeve gave him an Almond Joy.
