Unreal that the Astro's are still the better team.
Wtf are you talking about? Better team? It's one fucking game.
It literally isn't. And they're about to be no-hit in their second loss to them. Yankees play great against all of the other teams, but they have trouble with the Astro's. Not exactly something new, either.

1 run yesterday. Zero hits today....Coney was pretty angry about it.
He was great in Tampa in his last outing, and great today. He deserves credit because he gets beat up on when he isn't great. Too bad the offense didn't show up for him today, though.
Watch a fastball go right down the middle in a hitters count
It was like watching the recent postseasons the past two days… nobody can hit a fastball to save their lives. You know it’s bad when the only person who came close to doing anything was Gallo.
but I still think the lineup as a whole isn't that good.
Judge has been the only consistent bat. Rizzo has been solid. Stanton does his red hot or ice cold thing with no in between. Torres and DJ have decent numbers.
BA isn’t remotely the end all, be all, but only 3 guys are batting over .260 and 2 of them are Falafel and Trevino. Eventually you have to be able to make contact and put the ball in play.
things could be worse: they could have gone down 1-2-3 in the 9th inning on Thursday, instead of having that great comeback. If they win tomorrow, it's a split series vs these asswipes, and they will wrap up a tough 13-game stretch with a 9-4 record.
Thank Gallo in the entire league? It’s time to DFA him or see if you can get anything for him. Why not bring up Florial or Andujar at this point? Literally can’t be any worse.
Some of these comments SMH. I’m sure the Dodgers are relieved knowing they won’t face the Pirates in the post season.
Yeah, because the Pirates are to the Dodgers what the Astros are to the Yankees. Great analogy. I was annoyed earlier during the game (what Yankees fan wouldn't be?), but I'll say this. There is no team in the NL that worries me as a Yankees fan. In the AL, there is only one team that I think could beat us in October, and that's the Astros. They can beat us, and we can beat them. It's a toss-up. But unfortunately, the Astros are still legit. Our offense can't score 1 run in 18 innings against them (and get no-hit in one of the games in the process) if we face them in October. That's for damn sure.
I thought Thursday night's win against the Astros was the best win of the season so far - but you can't look at Friday and Saturday's games and not be concerned about the ALCS. The Astros are very tough for us to beat.

My point is just because the Yankees lost two in a row doesn’t mean they can’t beat the Astros in the post season. The fact that the Pirates swept a three game series against the Dodgers doesn’t mean the pirates are the better team. It just like some fans have a defeated attitude when it comes to the Yankees and the Astros. Have faith.
Has a very 2009 Angels vibe to it. We knew we'd have to finally beat those guys to get to the WS. I have a feeling it's gonna be the same this year.
sucks but it's my gut feeling.a

So if the Yankees don't sweep every team, they're worse than them?

Ugly.
Tomorrow they better make a statement

looking swings. They need to get a split now.
Gallo did hit the ball 115 mph so it's definitely a hindsight being 20/20 thing. But that was my thoughts as the game progressed.

Fortunately I missed this. But same for today's win. Glad for the first, but not the second. Yankees lose a no-hitter? Impossible but it happened.
