NFT: Best/healthiest nutrition drinks at supermarkets?

Milton : 6/27/2022 7:05 pm
I'm not looking to make my own smoothies or mixing my own protein shakes so I'm interested in what I can find at the supermarket that provides me with the most health and nutritional benefits if I drink one or two a day. Ideally it will be as high as possible in fiber, protein, nutrients, digestible vitamins without being too high in carbs. Also interested in probiotic drinks and/or yogurts that offer the most benefits (or is probiotics an overrated fad?).

I started doing some of my own research on it but you get bombarded with advertisements posing as legit news so I wanted to see what BBI had to say on the subject. I'm looking for something that can be found at a typical supermarket or a Whole Foods, not something that only sells at a GNC.

Organic Nutrition shakes?

I work out every day and find OON to be a nice go-to when I want a lighter meal option.

AG1 is advertised on a bazillion podcasts now, but I've been using it for years and I like it. I think some people have found decent comparisons to it at this point, but it's the one that I know.
It's not a source of protein, but it has alot of the other things you're looking for to help supplement your daily nutrition.
Erp, that's not in stores tho

I'm not sure I know of any one drink that has EVERYTHING and is low in sugar, etc. Most of the protein drinks you buy in grocery stores or supplement/vitamin stores are either loaded with sugar or have all kinds of weird crap in them.

I've always been happy with all of Orgain's products that I've tried. Considering the quality, their prices are very reasonable. I use their high protein almond milk regularly as a high protein low carb drink.

I buy Celsius as a supplement drink on my workout days.

It doesn't have any sugar nor a lot of the processed ingredients that you find in so-called nutrition drinks these days. It does have some caffeine though which isn't a problem for me but may not be for everyone. Also includes a few helpful vitamins which is a plus.

Give it a look on-line.

I usually stick with Vitamin Water zero sugar. Good mix of vitamins/antioxidants and electrolytes. A couple of weeks ago I bought some Powerade zero sugar when we had some really hot days that were near 100 degrees and I was working out in the evenings.
Have you looked into Shakology?

Has it's +/- but I like it when on the go. My advise for what it worth: Just be informed and don't expect a magic pill to solve your health concerns.

Funny short story, talking to my Mom the other day, and she's complaining about how she can't lose weight even though she is eating less and skipping meals...as she is sipping on a diet coke. I say what's that in your hand...she says "what it's diet?" That says all you need to know about her health knowledge. Not that I'm some kind of expert, but come on, maybe think just a little bit for yourself.

As said above, making your own is best

I know it's not what you're looking for, but it's easy and you have total control over what you put into it. With a small blender made specifically for smoothies, it takes minutes to make and you can put everything that needs cleaning in the dishwasher.
