Commanders’ Terry McLaurin is signing a 3-year extension worth up to $71 million in new money that places him amongst the NFL’s top-five highest-paid WRs, sources tell ESPN. Buddy Baker and Tony Bonagura of Exclusive Sports Group finalized deal today w/ Washington SVP Rob Rogers.
The new three-year extension for Terry McLaurin includes a $28 million signing bonus, the largest given to any wide receiver, and also has 76.4 percent of the new money in deal guaranteed. The deal contractually ties the 26-year-old McLaurin to Washington through the 2025 season.
I have zero problem seeing a player of his caliber being a top ten WR in the league in terms of production if he has a top QB as a battery mate.

Disagree. While he is quite good, he not at that level.
Let that sink in...

Look on the bright side, we got Darius Slayton 101 picks later.
Wait...what?
Imo he’s right there with Diggs and Metcalf. I think Brown is a better player than Diggs and Metcalf, but McLaurin ability wise…he’s a legit top threat.
Let that sink in...
Every team in the league could have picked him with the 75 previous picks before him as well

No shit, genius, but the Giants had just traded their best WR a few months before, and had a gaping hole in the position.
You don't think they should have taken a 6' WR from a top program that ran a 4.35 40 if they had a 3rd rounder?

is a very, very good WR who has been saddled with some of the most average QBs in the NFL in his first three years.

I’m torn on Mclaurin. I wonder if it’s crappy QBs holding him back. Which if it is then he’s probably a top talent. But to me when I watch him I always thinks this guy reminds me of the Gary Clark to number 1 Art Monk. You don’t often see him blow the top off. Gets open and runs nice routes, but doesn’t have Tyrik Hill moments.
I hope Galloway is the goods for a couple more years, but McL is a better deal by far!!!

p.s.--And Belichick took six other prospects in 2000 before taking Brady with a 6th round comp pick, despite being without a 1st round pick that year (lost to the Jets as punishment for stealing Belichick).

They could've drafted him despite taking Sam Beal in the supplemental draft. Let that skink in...

For all of you being purposefully obtuse, the point is he was taken in the 3rd round of the draft, after the pick the Giants would have had in the third round.
Yes, I understand that every team could have taken him in round 1 or 2. Thank you for enlightening me.
But he was also there in the 3rd, but Gettlemen threw away his 3rd rounder on an injured CB from a minor school.
Some of you really still want to die on the Gettleman hill. No idea why. But I guess that's the world we live in now.
