Surprised Klaatu didn't post this. Boy was this a cool interview. Actually more like a bunch of fans including Jacobs just reminiscing and shooting the shit for a while. License Plate Guy was in on this too.
Some really funny and interesting stories from LPG and big ol 27. I laughed out loud a few times.
LPG story about meeting Jacobs and also vs the Vikings in Detroit story are really cool. Jacobs had some interesting things to say about the Plaxico incident and some other things as well.
My biggest LOL was Skinner asking him "When you threw your helmet into the stands, how quickly did you realize you fucked up?" BJ (quietly) "oh man. immediately." Listening to them all talk about that incident was really funny.
Talkin Giants talkin with Brandon Jacobs - (

It will be interesting (to me anyway) to see if anything comes of one of his children that has expressed some interest in Football.

Loved the combo of "Earth, Wind, and Fire." (Jacobs, Bradshaw, and Ward).
I think that was their nickname ... nice line-up to keep the defense guessing?

His son Brayden is a rising sophomore OT in Georgia and already has at least a dozen FBS offers, including Auburn and UGA. Big, athletic kid playing at a high level of HS ball. Qualifies as an expression of some interest, in my book! I look forward to seeing him develop... he's a frequent subject of Jacobs' social media posts.

I didn't mean to imply any veneration. I think he is kind of a clown myself, but I think that's his point. Just that he had a few interesting and humorous stories. Apparently he and Jacobs are somewhat of buddies.
I thought it came across more as a regular guy statement. That's something I might say (ok I'm not that regular of a guy but you get my point). There is Jacobs the millionaire and Jacobs the regular guy who understands that primo seats are stupid expensive, especially every single game.

Jacobs joking about how the seats are expensive...we know how he affords the tickets.

No, I get where Jacobs was coming from at the time the story took place. That's the first thing I asked when I started seeing this guy at every game home and away. My point was more about people on this site citing his tweets, pointing out his participation in this podcast as if it's a treat, etc. There is a dark history to this guy, yet he is still being embraced. If he were a fan or player on another team and did what he did, he would be getting blasted.
I also am shocked, knowing what they do about him, that the organization includes this guy in functions and allows players to continue to fraternize with him.
What is the dark history of which you speak?

He was cleared of this. If you want to start accusing the guy of stuff he was cleared of, we are going to have to take those conversations down, but also you are spreading untrue and unverified statements.

LPG has done so much to use his platform as a superfan to raise money for various charities, and has really organized some cool events over the years. He interacts with other fans regularly on Instagram. He is clearly a Giants die-hard and turned his fandom into a platform that reps Giants fans very well, and is as openly passionate about the team as any of us are.
For years now, he's always taken a second to send a quick happy birthday note on Facebook to me. We've never met, he just does it because I'm a Giants fan who friended him on FB a while ago. He certainly does't *have* to do that, but it's a small, cool gesture of thoughtfulness that is always really neat to receive on a birthday.
I dunno. I've seen him catch a lot of heat on BBI, and I think that's a shame. He's said in interviews that he tends to stay away from fan forums because they get kinda toxic, but it certainly would be cool to have his perspective shared here.

You want me to not mention it again...fine. But this site regularly vilifies athletes for far less.
