Sanders: Oh man. We all feel like we're on an all-star team, so we feel great. We feel unstoppable, I'm not gonna lie. The vibes are great, always have been. Nick Sirianni is doing a great job just keeping the vibes right, the chemistry good. We compete a lot in practice. |
I made a mistake ... it says "The Eagles' are dreaming again"
Big difference - my bad.
Yeah, we own those guys...
I don’t get it. They’re not winning the division so any playoff game they’d partake in would be on the road. I can’t imagine any scenario where they’d go into (for example) LA, GB, SF, Dallas, or Tampa and even keep it competitive.
May the Eagles crash and burn in similar fashion to the 2011 Dream Team

They definitely think this is their year for whatever reason

Why wouldn't they win the division. They have the second easiest schedule in the NFL. I don't know if I am willing to say they are contenders for the super bowl, but I would bet on them to win the division if I had to bet that now.

Why wouldn't they win the division?
Jalen Hurts.
I lived in the Philthy area for about 13 years (late '80s - late '90s) and it seemed like eagle fans thought EVERY year was their year. Even in retrospect.
I remember an eagle fan telling me the eagles deserved to win the SB in '90 instead of the Giants. Yeah, ok. The Giants were 13-3. The eagles were 10-6 and got blown out in the wild card game! But yeah, they deserved to win the SB.
No one ever accused eagle fans of being smart.
They might be better than the Eagles, but they are going to have more losses this year than last. You can take that to the bank.

I'm fine with that but point is they're not even the best team in their division let alone the conference or league.

After 12 wins last year the logical bet is Dallas would regress.
Their schedule though is not difficult. Dallas plays Houston, Chicago, and Detroit at home. They play at Jacksonville. The hardest game should be Detroit, but Dallas should win these four games.
Dallas has also dominated their division. Give Dallas a 4-2 mark. That brings them to 8 wins.
The next seven games are where it will be determined if Dallas can win 12 games again.
Dallas plays Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis at home. Los Angeles, Green Bay, Minnesota, and Tennessee away.
If Dallas goes 4-3 they achieve 12 wins.
Either way Dallas will probably have a minimum of 10 wins this year. That should be enough to win the division. I believe they do better and are in the hunt for the #1 seed this year.
