Atencio 5 innings 5 hits 0 runs 3 walks 5 k's (Sound the alarms folks @mets might have an actual LHP worth getting excited about. Atencio 5 innings 5 hits 0 runs 3 walks 5 k's. 2.20 era over his first 28.2 innings, 33 k's, the walks are very high (20) but he's only 20 years old )

Baty's defense remains an "issue". While he's much improved from when he was drafted, he has notable trouble on balls he has to come in on,and balls he has to his right on. He's a big dude, and he may figure it out (hard worker like Vientos) but his defense is likely going to prevent any odds he's at 3B for the 2022 Mets.

Got it... I think I have relayed this story in the past, but I'll do it again. I was actually on a flight from Austin to NY the day before the MLB draft and Baty was a few rows behind me with a couple of his buddies. My takeaway (before of course knowing that he'd be a Met) was that he was a "thick" athlete. Tree trunk legs. So not surprised on your comments of his size kind of limiting him...

Back in the day, my dad did his own taxes and handled his own investments. He worked for a big insurance firm and was not a tax or financial expert, but that's what you did then.
Now its all tax preparers and money managers so people do not understand the basics the way they used to. Most people still know what is relevant to their situation but do not grasp the overall mechanics of finance and taxes at all.
