NFT: NHL Draft/ NHL trades and FA

Maryland Blows : 7/5/2022 11:25 am
The next few days things should start to heat up arounnd the NHL. Teams will be looking to get guys signed or shed salary in order to go after players in FA.

The Rangers need to make moves in order to keep some of their FA's or bring in new players.

The Islanders will look to move Bailey for sure and they have been linked to Forsberg and Gaudreau.

If you see or hear something let us know. Should be an interesting next 2 weeks.

is the current "iron man" in the NHL and if he plays 10 games next year he takes over the all-time lead from Yandle.

I bet most people, if they didn't know already, would not guess Phil Kessel will be the NHL iron man if you gave them 25 guesses.

A good reason to go on a hot dog diet

not even kidding but he's a great case study for those that think excessive training leads to injuries. though he may be in a very small subset of pro athletes skilled enough to remain effective pro athletes with a dad bod.

very true and I bet he's one of those athletes that despite his appearance he's in incredible physical shape.

I was never more pissed to get out of a 6am dropoff when my daughter was scheduled to participate in the Amanda Kessel summer hockey camp in Worcester. I was looking forward to meeting her in person, lol. Total opposite in appearance to her brother.
the mannings are both probably on that list too but qb is another

spot where skill can override athleticism. kerry collins was a pseudo iron man too and i think he once said that the 1x he got hurt as a giant he thought it was because he had lost weight and got in better shape (cant remember if it was a hamstring or sprained ankle).

Here's the list of players in NHL history with four Art Ross Trophies, two Hart Memorial Trophies, three Ted Lindsay Awards and five 100-point seasons by age 25. #Oilers

1. Wayne Gretzky

2. Connor McDavid

That's it.

though for McDavid yet, Gretzky already had at least 1.

great clip of Romanov here. This is a couple years ago, but he still loves this hip check/like entry to contact. Pretty text book hit though.

Looking forward to getting to see him play regularly.

Yes, we all know the Isles need a game-changing scorer.

They do however have a great goalie tandem, a top-tier top 4 D and players who have some offensive skill.

Looking forward to seeing how much more open the offense is under Lambert, and how he juggles that with maintaining their shutdown D
Good move
