Belton is not expected to need surgery, per Brian Daboll. So this is why the Giants expect him to be back around the start of the season.
Daboll concedes it’s tough for a rookie to miss training camp. But Belton has been impressive and is quite diligent and mature.

- Only one team in the NFL (Chiefs) was above 50% on 3rd down conversions in 2021 (all 3rd downs, not just 10+)
- 50% of NFL teams were below 40% on ALL 3rd down attempts
- This includes ALL 3rd downs, not just 3rd and long
- The defense is also practicing 3rd and long.
- If the Giants O is producing over 40% on 3rd and long, there's something wrong with the defense.
- Be patient, it's practice

I just don't want to see him holding the ball for 5 seconds and releasing it only after the defense clearly would have sacked him if not for his "red jersey" and I don't want to see him consistently throwing the ball late or behind or over his guys heads left and right is all

The OL seems to have struggled on the inside without him. But Lemieux seems to be getting good reports at both LG and OC (brief appearances). Thus far, their best OL has seen Ezeudu at LG and Lemieux at OC. So those two and Feliciano could be battling out 2 spots.

Quite the start in team drills for #Giants QB Daniel Jones. I have him 9-of-10 passing. Of those nine completions, seven went for first downs. Only pass that hit ground was an impressive PBU from Jackson on Board. Got his hand in in comeback.

The 67th overall pick at Guard on a team with Andrew Thomas & Evan Neal.
Ezeudu has been taking reps at LT since minicamp. His versatility is one of the reasons they drafted him. Even if he beats out Lemieux at LG, his ability to kick outside if Thomas gets hurt is a huge plus.
