The idea: Get in touch with Rich Seubert to ask him if he is familiar with Shane Lemieux, currently lining up as the Giants’ starting left guard. Seubert was the starting left guard on the Giants’ 2007 Super Bowl team, renowned for his toughness and do-anything-to-get-it-done zeal on the field. It seems as if Lemieux has some of these same qualities. So, the call goes out, Seubert responds and is told there is something about this young offensive lineman that reminds this inside observer of him... |
IMHO, Nick Gates is a better example.

Agree. I always enjoy these type of articles going back forever but PS might have to revisit again when Gates gets back on the field.
And I don't say that lightly - Rich Seubert is one of my all-time favorite players.
News flash: young players improve.

Some do, but lots of them not enough to be good players. And, as we've seen with multiple players on the Giants, starting with Slayton, some go downhill after good rookie seasons. I'd say Lemieux needs to prove it.
