Classic movie but they severly downplayed how brutal POWS were treated by the Japanese in WW2
Maybe for the sake of good relations that was intentional

Usually I get even a little excited and hopeful when we sign a free agent…..until today. Bill Holden doesn’t arouse that kind of passion I’m looking for. Sorry….
Might not remember him, though. Holden lasted less than two weeks on the practice squad when Johnson was there, in 2018. Holden had a longer stint in Indy two years later, but Johnson was no longer around.
RE: OL Coach Bobby Johnson knows him (sort of) from the Colts

It appears Holden was coached by everyone in the NFL.
Sorry to see him go.... Always rooting for the local guys. Hope he catches on somewhere, but if not not, the BA in Economics from Dartmouth will likely come in handy in his future.
body. I'd be surprised if he's on the initial 53. As Eric noted, he's already played for tons of teams in his short career and nobody wanted to keep him.
jokes about the "Bill Holden drinking helmet" along the lines of how it would have been a great idea, considering how he died.
In "Licorice Pizza," Sean Penn does an amazing riff on William Holden (by another name).
Bradley Cooper even better playing Jon Peters as a sybaritic lunatic. And they got to use Jon Peters' name. He thought it was funny. He's right. Cooper would have been a deserving supporting actor nominee.
Lance Zerlein - ( New Window )
Loved this movie..And yes,Holden played a great part..
He was even better at finding out that Price was the stooge in Stalag 17.
6:00...in BERLIN.
So he’s a OG, and a OT in a desperate situation?
Hahaha
+1. Him, Faye Dunaway, and Duvall were outstanding in this classic movie.
Loved his size, but he always looked like he was 2 steps behind
I AM big. It's the team that got small.

What melody do you sing that to?

"All right, Mr. DaBolle, I'm ready for my close-up."

That tells me he's in demand! ;>)

If they can't beat him in practice, cut them.
