McKethan carted off

@DanDuggan21

OL Marcus McKethan down with an apparently serious lower right leg injury. Cart on the field immediately.

@art_stapleton

Rookie OL Marcus McKethan is down and Giants wasted zero time in sending out the cart. Hate to see this.

Tackle depth already being put to the test.

Hoping for good news for McKethan.

Perhaps I'm channeling my inner Jim Garrison, but good Lord...the turf @ MetLife is so bad I'm starting to think it's a BB conspiracy to get back at us for XLII & XLVI.

The turf?

Isn't it turf? I didn't think it was natural grass.

It is turf, but why are you playing the turf? It is football. All we know he was getting bullrushed. What did he do and what did the torque from the rush do?
There are a handful of other teams using the same turf.

Just hope it was a tweak or something minor - it won't be, not with the Giants.

Again, the Jim Garrison in me is coming out...it seems like a lot of players are injured on our playing surface, much more so than other stadiums. Didn't SF bitch about that a couple of years ago?

There is no mistaking the ridiculous number of injuries this team and other teams have sustained playing on our trash field surfaces since the switch to MetLife. Something is clearly wrong.

They did, after losing a number of players early in 2020 and playing two straight weeks at Metlife.
Hope the FanFest Scrimage was worth it.

Minnesota and Baltimore (if i recall right) have the same turf and have been among the least injured teams.

Yeah they did, and the numbers didn't really show anything, IIRC.
Again, this is not a one off field. There are a few others in the league.

Injuries WOULD go down if they switched to grass but they wont because its a "multipurpose" stadium. The worst stadium in the NFL by far.
Sorry, my fault.

I literally just told my wife five minutes before this was posted that I can’t believe how none of the giants offensive line has been critically injured so far.
Next time I promise to knock on wood.
If he was getting bull rushed...

Agreed. Shit field, ugly, overpriced. They might as well have just kept old Giants Stadium.

And the jets. And I think their injury rate is much lower. Some times it’s just bad luck. Which I understand since Mara obviously sold his teams soul to win XLVI.

I didn't expect much out of McKethan this year, outside of spot duty, maybe ST's, but I still hope he isn't on the shelf for too long.

It is critical they add an OT...or two.

Skinner floated Remmers, and honestly I'm not against it. It's exactly the type of singing they should make right now.

Thomas has yet to play a full season, Ezeudu is currently backing up literally every OL spot...1 or 2 injuries and we are looking at 2021 again.

Cap be damned, bring in someone who can actually play.

Maybe it’s the fact these are huge human beings doing crazy movement putting additional pressure on ligaments & tendons?

You do realize that todays athletes are considerably larger than they were 20 years ago meanwhile ligaments are the same size. Horses are the same way!
