Come on, now you are just nitpicking 😁
no he sucks
Some of the repeat offenders haven't given you a reason to trust them, lol
But if you can appreciate watching this team play, and just sit back and enjoy it?
This team has a chance to be as well remembered as the 86 squad,it’s special.
amazing.
Buck has this team tuned up man, all the right moves all the right calls. The players are amped out there.
I'm feeling it, bring on the postseason.
But if you can appreciate watching this team play, and just sit back and enjoy it?

Pointing out that the bullpen could cost them in the playoffs isn't "not appreciating".
Appreciating the season for what it is is exactly why I'm annoyed they didn't do more to help the bullpen. It would be a disaster to waste this season from a 38 year old Scherzer when we knew this bullpen was suspect back in April.
The stats are deceptive. It's because of Diaz. There was an article about that.

ok so what if we got Robertson but it costed Vientos? I'm pretty sure that was the ask.

Yet you'd think it was dead last listening to most Mets fans. Too funny.

Yeah not really. They've reduced down Diaz's expected performance to about a quarter of where he'll really end up. Take out every team's closer and the Mets pen would still rank pretty high by their own model. Ottavino and others have also been VERY good.
hmm...
god dam Trevor May coming in hot.
sorry for all the posts, I'm just excited AF

Who’s to say that I’m not sitting back and enjoying it? Because I complain about something that means I’m not enjoying it? I know that there are some here that drink the kool aide and have a difficult time accepting ANY criticism of the team (which I find incredibly odd) but it’s a sports message board and talking about the crappy stuff is okay too.
That being said - I am very much enjoying this series. And today’s doubleheader. Especially with all the barking the Braves players were doing during yesterdays game.
Loving the Faux tomahwak.

The way I look at it, as Mets fans, we've been given so much to complain about over the years. Usually multiple things every year. This year has been different. No doubt, there are flaws, but I'm happy to ignore them while things are still good. There will be time to do nothing but complain soon enough

Also like Shecky said this is the 2022 Mets, can you just enjoy this. We all know how much worse it was before this...
This appreciation is what makes us different from entitled Yankee fans.
Oh fucking please. So glad that the negativity police are out in full force tonight. Heaven forbid anyone criticize anything about the Mets. Clearly since they are in first place…it means that every decision was the perfect one.
Here’s a novel thought…people are still able to greatly enjoy this team and season while also being able to talk about the crap decisions they make. Like, completely botching the RP market at the tradeline.
How about we stop telling people how to feel? Nobody is going overboard here.
Thank you
Rory - so GKR were nitpicking when discussing, with Ottavino facing Olsen in a big spot, that the Mets have no lefty to come out of the pen in a big spot in the playoffs?
Its going to be a problem
Tomorrow would be great but not necessary
Awesome day of baseball!!

I think we've won 12 of the last 14 games.
Also, 2 words to end this day with...
Degrom tomorrow
Doesnt matter. The important thing is that Mazeika is gone.

And every fan is different. Some are complete homers unable to accept any criticism of the team, some don’t have the ability to see any good, and some are able to see the good and the bad. No team is perfect. But I’m willing to guess that EVERY fan here is enjoying this season. These threads really aren’t too bad I’ve seen people complain about something bad (Givens) and then applaud the many good things. Why some of you tend to focus only when something negative is brought up, is odd.
When I look at fangraphs, they have the Mets ranked 13th in baseball. The Braves are actually listed 2nd.

coop is right, try going on a Yankees thread. they love hicks, they hate hicks, they love him again, then they want him cut,.
The other night I saw someone post to cut Gerrit Cole. Like what?
Vogelbach: .324/.477/.559
Naquin: .318/.318/.727
Ruf: .333/.333/.444
Combined (75 plate appearances):
.323/.413/.600
4 HR, 9 XBH, 12 RBI
The moves weren’t sexy…but very savvy, smart moves.

It's still a small sample at this point, but I think your point is well made. They have helped the team through this crucial series with the Braves, regardless of what they do in the future.
One of the wonderful things about baseball, is that redemption is always available. Just get a hit, drive in a run, and you're no longer a bum

I already posted it the other day. Where we are ranked statistically today and where we are ranked/projected to wind up are two completely different things. And FG keeps that up to date up to the second. Actuals take over for projection with each game. Its essentially a rolling forecast. Here it is again.

Oh, those game threads are awful. Complains about every single pitch, every player that gets a hit against them is a scrub, every pitcher that pitches well against them is a no talent hack. LOL, we are nowhere near as depressing as those threads.
Listen, I know I’m not always the most positive person here and I’m sorry that it irks some of you. I’ve taken shit about it and that’s okay. But I’ve also made plenty more positive comments. And even if some on here bicker at times (myself included) I still think you are all some pretty rad “strangers” on a message board and I enjoy the threads. Let’s keep the train moving!

Cooper. I've noticed a difference in your posts in the last week or two. I'm really enjoying them now, especially the last one you posted. I thought it was very insightful.

I’m curious to know what stats you are using that show that the Mets BP is second in the majors. Sure doesn’t feel like that.

So, we are ranked 13th as of today but we are “projected” to end up ranked 2nd by the end of the season? Do I have that right?
It gets complicated when you start guessing why everyone is reduced down so much, but thats just how they do it.
+1. Me too re holding my breath until he pitches a few games without injury.

My q is Who is picking up his innings tomorrow, I’m assuming he goes 75 pitches but that’s like the 5th if all goes well.

It's gotta be Joely and Medina.
Even Snablats loves Pete.
He just got entrenched in his heel arc and kind find his way out.
Redemption arc incoming...!
He doesn’t love Pete - according to him, Pete is “below average” defensively. But that’s based on his own “eye test”; nevermind the objective metrics that say otherwise.
